Access to the property :
Ambalao is reached via an unpaved track suitable for most of standard vehicles. Low or sports cars may encounter difficulties. If in doubt, we are happy to guide you for a smooth arrival.
This track is part of the experience: it leads to a private and protected sanctuary, far from busy roads, preserving the peace and natural surroundings of the bergerie.

We had a beautiful week in Emmanuelle's place. The house is comfortable and quirky, there are board games available, we had home made Kefir, water and Rose wine on arrival to welcome us, and Cathy who manages the property was so lovely and helpful. Best of all was the outdoor space, the views are stunning, there is a hammock, daybeds, an outdoor kitchen, and the stars, oh the stars! It was just so serene and a really lovely place to be.

This property is absolutely beautiful! The road to get here is an offroad trek up winding dirt and rocky narrow sections. You need a 4x4 to get here. Make sure you read the host's thorough information on their WordPress site before booking. Upon arrival you will have to give 1500 euro as a deposit. You get it back the day you leave if everything is OK. There is no wifi, so make sure your phone has access to tower's. When you are there, you will need to check the water level in the tank and fill when needed by turning on and off a pump, you will need to out the pool cleaner in the pool each day too. All electricity is run by solar, so be careful not to drain the batteries with laptops, the washing machine, the dishwasher, long hot showers, etc...
With these things known, it is beautiful . Great hiking, mountain biking. Etc...don't forget groceries when you head up ... let go of society. Amd enjoy nature. It truly is a beautiful and unique experience. Https:// ambalao. wordpress. com /gitation /locations /
