A perfect home base in Riomaggiore — unbeatable location, a generous host, and a beautiful room that delivered on every front. An absolutely ideal base for exploring Riomaggiore. The location is genuinely perfect — positioned right between the train station and the village, close enough that everything is a 10-minute walk (including the Via dell’Amore), but far enough from the center that noise is never an issue. Paolo also sent a tourist welcome card ahead of arrival, which made navigating the area completely seamless from the moment I stepped off the train. Paolo is a wonderfully generous host. Finding snacks and wine waiting in the room was a lovely surprise — and after a long train ride from Venice, the snacks were practically a lifesaver. Small touches like that make a real difference. The room itself exceeded expectations: a stunning view, ample storage, reliable A/C, and a great shower. Everything worked exactly as it should. No complaints whatsoever. Paolo also pointed me toward Osteria La Torpedine, which quickly became my go-to for dinner every night — a great local tip. For breakfast, Britta is worth seeking out for smoothies and a healthy start to the day, and just steps from the property, Old School Cocktails & Food serves a decent American-style breakfast with very good coffee. If you’re visiting Cinque Terre for the first time and unsure where to start, start here. A dream stay.

Amazing place to stay. Lovely large room and bathroom, very clean and quiet and Paolo a great host. Easy to find, high up in the mountains, 2 lifts to reach the location but only takes 5/10 minutes in total from train station/harbour.
