Marina House Rome Airport - Sea View

It is very comfortable place in Fiumicino in the new apartment building close to the sea. Walking distance to the town that is very nice and have all the elements for the vacation, great restaurants, supermarkets open every day, and Roman crowds. The apt itself is spacious, has two balconies, impeccable bathroom. It is rather quiet so you can sleep.

Well first of all we had an idea that since our flight was very late it would be efficient to sleep in Fiumicino. That is not true. Late night taxi to anywhere to Fiumicino is 50 and to Rome is 60 euro. So no real saving. Morning Uber was cheap and efficient though. It is impossible to walk to the airport. Also the building is right next to the sea but you can't enjoy it since it is harbour's industrial zone.

The apartment was new and very clean. It had everything you need for a short term stay. I especially appreciated the lift.

The location was horrible. There is some sort of petroleum storage facility across the street and a dirty, rocky beach within walking distance but not a beach you'd want to spend time at. There is also a smell of something burning in the air. There is one small convenience store within walking distance and one pretty nice.restaurant nearby on the waterfront but there is heavy construction going on there and heavy trucks rumbling past the front windows! This was a very disappointing experience for our last night in Italy where we had planned a bottle.of wine to watch the sunset.
