Casa Vacanze Aurora

This is a beautiful and very clean property, with a great host and things well thought through. We only stayed one night, but the location is close to airport (10 min drive). There is ample space and rooms. Also nice snacks and juice in the fridge.

Just need to note that it can be tricky to find, just use the address sent by the host. The hosts instructions were very clear and helpful! With heavy bags, there is a staircase so this should be noted. Finally, breakfast was included, which was bread, cheese, meat… but I would have hoped for something a little more substantial like eggs in the fridge… but a very minor point! There were cakes and pastries, jam and butter, tea and coffee… there really is little to fault, host is great, therefore the high score. It was a nice stay.

We liked the snacks and drink provided. There was a lot of space, so that was nice.

Beds ... can feel springs in beds. Very uncomfortable. A/C bedroom unit very noisy outside unit. Kept me awake when it was running in another bedroom but the outside unit by other bedrooms balcony door. I specifically ordered a lower unit due to medical disabilities ... no stairs. I was told it was a 1st floor unit not knowing in Italy the 1st floor is not the bottom land level unit. It's considered the "0" floor!!

- The location is in Fiumicino, about a 10-minute drive from the airport. It was fine for an overnight stay before getting to the airport. It was okay. The nearest grocery is about 12 minutes away (walking). Walked to a beach in about 20-25 min. Taxi is 30-35 euros to the airport. The host called for a transfer our second day, and that was only 30 euros. - It is spacious, so it would be good for a larger group. - We didn't have time to stop for breakfast, so can't speak to that. - Wifi was fine. We had to restart it at one point since it was not working, but that solved the problem. - AC was fine after about an hour or two. A few things helpful to know: - There is a nice panini maker in the kitchen - TV is not a smart TV, so no way to access Netflix, etc.

- Both bathroom stalls had black mold in them. The shower curtain in one of the bathrooms was covered with mold at the bottom. - Location feels odd. It's in a residential area, and even though it's close to the airport, it felt quite off the beaten path. Seems like tourists are not often in that neighborhood - Bedding was only okay. Just a thin blanket and sheets. - Front bedroom gets street noise, but there is a nice tree out the window. - Didn't feel like it was a good value for the price.
