Nine Acres Barn

This was a gem of a property. Nicely situated and certainly roomy. Very quiet and peaceful. The views were glorious and every room had a view. Parking on site too, a plus.

Couldn’t fault anything.

Oh my goodness, we could not have asked for a more perfect location; the views were an uninterrupted vista of rolling hills and peaceful countryside. The barn had everything we wanted and needed right down to locally sourced logs for the fire. The whole barn was beautifully decorated with comfortable beds, cosy bedding and all we needed for a fabulous stay. The kitchen was spacious, fully equipped; we even baked cakes one rainy afternoon. There is a good washing machine, I didn't use the dryer function as we hung all our clothes on the airer in front of the fire. The entrance was used as a boot room too as we had rain etc, perfect to store shoes, coats etc. Both bedrooms have ensuite, one bath, one shower; water pressure was great in both and hot water in plentiful supply. Internet was faultless and we could stream both on laptops and the television; there were four of us and we did not experience any buffering or disruption of service. Marlborough is only a short drive and has all you need for groceries etc, a coffee and beautiful shops; we checked out all the charity shops and found a whole host of bargains. I would recommend Coffi Lab in the High Street, and Oddfellows in Manton village for eating and drinking. There is a gate in the back garden that leads to a beautiful walk with public access across the hills if you turn left, turn right and you can walk into the village via the scenic route. We had a lovely wander after the most amazing Sunday roast (very reasonable at £20-25 per head) at Oddfellows in the village. (Booking is essential as it is very popular) There is information about places to go and things to see out and about, although having lived in the area as a child, we spent a lot of time revisiting old haunts. I cannot recommend Nine Acres Barn more highly; exemplary attention to a visitors' needs, exquisite decor and comfort all set in a stunning location.

Absolutely nothing could have been better; the attention to detail and preempting needs could not have been improved upon.
