THE TINY VILLAGE NAMED ' CARNASCIALE ' (english pronunciation CARNASHALER) dates back to the nineteenth century.
It is a typical country house in the Tuscan tradition with a tiled roof and half timbered bricks.
Today the hamlet is made up of:
a) The main and adjacent buildings, cleverly
restored contain the owner’s home plus
four comfortable apartments each with its
own kitchen and bathroom facilities.
b) The swimming pool, 80 square meters in
area, 1.40 to 3.00 meters deep with a diving board, on
one side of the large garden.
The pool has been renewed before Summer 2017.
c) 25 acres , some woodland and some
farmed (olive trees and vineyards).

APARTMENTS/HOUSES
The “ Il Carnasciale” property is composed by 4 houses, one of which is called “BOUGAINVILLE”.
- ‘Bouganville’ (Homeaway nr.8429682): an independent
flat on the first floor of the villa with its own large
terrace and a shaded balcony overlooking the
swimming pool, garden and surrounding hills.
- ‘Stalla’ (nr.Homeaway 1665075), converted stable, with
a view of the forest, surrounded by a private garden
equipped with a properly built barbeque
and a large covered terrace in front of the
main sitting room.
- ‘Fienile’ or Hayloft (Homeaway nr.8429689); a
remodelled hayloft near the villa offers a shady gazebo
ideal for all meals. There is a second gazebo near the
swimming pool, ideal for resting in the
shade, for reading and relaxing.
- ‘Taverna’(Homeaway nr.8962456) : the smallest
apartment, with its own porch and terrace over looking
the forest is ideal for a romantic couple,
honeymooners or a couple with a small child.

We enjoyed the remote location, the silence and the decreasing temperature over night. The apartment was typical Tuscan style, but a bit simple. The communication with Diego and Matteo was absolutely perfect and Matteo was always available in case of any questions. Thanks again guys, we really had a great time!

Kurzfristig über fewo-direkt.de gebucht, war die Unterkunft ein Glücksgriff. Die Kommunikation mit den Vermietern erfolgte per E-Mail auf Englisch. Die Antworten erfolgten stets sehr zügig. Auf dem Grundstück sind mehrere Ferienwohnungen. Wir waren in der Ferienwohnung Bougainvillae untergebracht. Eine typische toskanische Unterkunft. Das Haus ist recht alt und liebevoll restauriert. Alles haben wir sehr sauber vorgefunden. Die Wohnung ist recht dunkel, was durch die dunklen Böden und Decken nicht verbessert wird. Durch ausreichend Beleuchtung wirkt die Wohnung aber sehr gemütlich. Eine Klimaanlage ist nicht vorhanden. War aber auch nicht notwendig. Die Wände sind sehr dick und lassen die Wärme lange draußen. Tagsüber haben wir auf der Sonnenseite die Fensterläden geschlossen, so dass die Kühle im Haus erhalten blieb. Nachts konnten wir die Fenster öffnen um frische kalte Luft reinzulassen. Alle Fenster sind mit Fliegengitter versehen. Die große Terasse lädt zum Verweilen ein. Insbesondere der große saubere Salzwasser-Pool hat bei unseren Kindern für Begeisterung gesorgt.

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen, unsere Wohnung mit der tollen Aussenterrasse und der Loggia waren sehr authentisch im landesüblichen Stil, der große Pool mit dem Sprungbrett war nicht nur für unsere Jungs klasse, auch wir Eltern haben die Abkühlung mit Aussendusche sehr zu schätzen gewusst! Der Blick von unserer Loggia war sehr schön, nur die letzten 1,3 km bei der Anfahrt erfolgt über relativ enge, aber wenig befahrene Straßen! Wir empfehlen die Wohnung dennoch uneingeschränkt weiter! Danke Roberto und Mattheo ….. 😊

Toller sauberer Salzwasserpool (perfekt ohne künstliches Chlor) mit Sprungbrett (12x6m) und großer Garten mit vielen Liegen, Sonne und Schatten. Das Meer ist nah (15 Minuten mit dem Auto) und in das kleine Dorf pieve mit 2 Restaurants und kleinem Ladengeschäft kann man laufen. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett, und haben eigene Weinreben und natürlich Olivenbäume. Es wird italienisch, englisch und französisch gesprochen. Auch lucca und pisa sind nah.
Allerdings gibt es sehr viele Moskitos, die auch tagsüber im Schatten stechen. Die Unterkünfte sind für Kinder unter 2 Jahren nicht empfehlenswert, da nicht kindersicher. Zudem sind sie eher spartanisch ausgestattet, was Küchenutensilien und Co betrifft. WLAN funktioniert kaum. Je nachdem, welche der 4 Einheiten man bewohnt, variieren Tageslicht, Temperatur und Geräuschpegel - unsere Wohnung konnte man bei 30 Grad Außentemperatur ok kühl halten, sie war allerdings recht dunkel und sehr hellhörig.
