We planned a small anniversary trip through the Loire Valley, visiting its most iconic châteaux, with a special stop in Orléans due to its historical significance and its connection to Joan of Arc and her importance to France.
Orléans was the final stop of our journey, and overall everything was quite good - except for one detail that unfortunately spoiled the entire experience. The mattress in our room was clearly worn out and sagging in the middle (it honestly felt like someone had slept there in armor and completely sunk it). The quality of sleep was, to put it mildly, far from ideal.
It would be highly appreciated if more attention were paid to the condition and comfort of the beds - it’s always an essential part of any traveler’s experience.

Beautiful boutique hotel very close to the Place des Martrois, restaurants and shops. Quaint period furnishings giving an overall atmosphere of an early 20th century hotel. Very friendly, helpful staff who responded quickly to any request. A perfect base from which to see the town and attractions. Worth noting there is no lift although they were quick to offer assistance with our luggage if needed.
If you can manage the stairs it was a perfect small, character hotel.
