Scansano Farmhouse is a lovely ancient farm located in the heart of Maremma, the southern area of Tuscany, Italy. We are set on a gentle hill just a couple of kilometers from an enchanting village called Scansano, well known for its Morellino di Scansano, one of Toscana's most prestigious wines.
You will be immerged in an authentic atmosphere made of olive trees, forests, vineyards and fields of all kinds.
What makes our accommodation so special is the authenticity of the experience we can offer you! We can bet that all our guests, especially the younger ones, will be amazed by this deep discovery of a once upon a time country life. You will have the chance to discover the secrets of our beloved animals like the cows, beefs, pigs, chickens and to learn the many aspects of the Tuscan wine and olive making!
You will also have the opportunity to taste some genuine and fresh food that is directly farmed by us since many generations!

The house has been designed with the idea of mixing up modernity, traditions and comfort! It is made out of 5 simple and clean double bedrooms with 5 bathrooms with shower, a nice dining area with kitchen, a big swimming pool, a terrace where to enjoy al fresco lunches and dinners and a big garden that is directly connected with the animal area.
The house where we live is just close-by; we will be glad to make your holiday unforgettable helping you with tips about the area, the restaurants, the excursions… but always respecting your privacy and your independence!
A peaceful setting located in the dreamy atmosphere of the Maremma hills. A handful of little charming towns dots the countryside, including Scansano, 4 km, Magliano, 15 km, Manciano 20 km, Capalbio, 27 km. The Tuscany riviera, including the Parco Naturale della Maremma, the Monte Argentario (40 km), Giglio and Giannutri Islands (1 hour by ferry boat from Porto Santo Stefano) is easily reachable. The nearest shops, post office, restaurants, bars, hospital are 6 km from the villa. If the quiet of the countryside and the marine breeze of the coast are not enough consider going on a relaxing day trip to the Saturnia termal baths (20 km) or if you prefer some physical activity go and explore the many trekking paths of the Monte Amiata (60 Km).
By airplane:
Florence, Pisa and Rome 2 hours.
By train:
Albinia train station is situated 25 km (30 minutes) from the villa.
Direct train connections to and from Rome, Pisa, Turin. By Car 100 km from Siena 160 km from Rome 170 km from Florence
Activities:
Tennis at Scansano. Several riding stables in the area. Thermal spa at Saturnia, 40 minutes. Beaches on the Monte Argentario peninsula or at Talamone both about 35 minutes. Trekking on Monte Amiata about 1 hour.

We were 4 seniors traveling and needed separate seats., the farmhouse was absolutely perfect! We all had our own bedroom and bathroom. Everything was immaculate and well decorated. Paola and Giorgio are excellent hosts. It is a little ways out of town, but that suited us very well. I would highly recommend!

Fantastic experience! Lovely farm near a beautiful village. Our family of 5 loved the pool and clean bedrooms. Giorgio and Paola were wonderful hosts. We received a warm welcome and also privacy as needed. Highly recommend you visit!

I had an absolutely incredible experience at your Tuscany villa! The picturesque surroundings and charming ambiance made it the perfect getaway. The well-maintained villa and stunning pool area were a delight to relax in. The owners were attentive and friendly, ensuring we had everything we needed. Exploring the nearby vineyards and quaint villages was a true highlight. Thank you for creating such a memorable vacation spot. I can't wait to visit again! Highly recommended.
