About this resort
Location, location, location! The stunning La Cascada Resort is located along the famous River Walk, less than two blocks from the downtown River Walk loop in San Antonio. This resort offers a wealth of spacious multi-room suites, with a location that's just blocks from the River Walk complex, the Alamo and other famed attractions.
All units have complimentary WiFi, full kitchens, washer/dryer, whirlpool tubs, and private balconies that offer spectacular city views. This riverside resort is walking distance to all the daytime and nighttime entertainment, shopping and dining.
The resort assigns the specific unit around the time of check-in so your view may vary. Let us know if you have a preference to be near a specific location throughout the resort or if you would like a specific view. We will gladly notate your preference and send this over to the resort as your stay gets closer. Please notate that requests are not guaranteed.

A credit card is required for the $250 security deposit requested at check in.
As with many urban environments, parking is very limited. Parking is available for $25 per day, per vehicle, and is valet only. Parking spaces are limited to one space for each suite with the exception of 3 and 4-bedroom Presidential suites, which are allotted two spaces per suite. Self-parking and trailer parking are not available.

This is a timeshare resort. All timeshare presentations are completely optional, so you are not at all required to attend them to stay at this resort or enjoy its amenities.

This property was perfect for 3 adults (1 couple), spacious and comfortable apartment, good kitchen, bathroom, rooftop pool and fitness center. Only complaint is the wifi was not fast enough for sending files (even though we paid for the "high speed" option).

Great place. Close to the river walk. Pool was very nice. My only complaint is that I did not know it was a timeshare place so to sit in an 90-minute presentation was not in our plans.

Great stay, clean accomodations. Very nice roof top pool & lounge area. Friendly staff. Within walking distance to thre Riverwalk, Alamo & mall.

The header picture on this very post does not exist at the property. The POOL is CLOSED for months. We went for the sun/pool. When we arrived we were told the pool was closed until April. No previous warning and actually communication through pictures and words to the contrary.
Tay at the front counter was neutral. She wasn't mean/angry but equally not helpful. If we hadn't found Joey we would have left. He tried to help us out, but between Tay and Joey they could not define which side of the building received the sun...which way was south. Funny.
We have been at properties with their pool closed before and the property has consistently established a temporary affiliation with another property to use their pool hotel during the closure. Though the Wyndam has three other properties in San Antonio and there are dozens of other hotels in walking distance, the staff and management at this location did not arrange to accommodate guests to the services advertised.
I had to wonder, what else was this property advertising but not providing...?
In this COVID season, you need to understand that there is no where else to relax but your room. The lobby is limited and inside (which is more communicable). The hotel has not even established other outside seating area (which they have the space to do). Again, they simply weren't interested in serving or even listening to the needs of guests (Tay and management). It showed in their actions.
The old saying, buyer beware when going Wyndam. Don't think Marriott. This Motel 6. That is the level of service.
