This unique apartment is located in the historical building of 'Palazzo Arnolfini', which has a rare architectural quality because it was originally a convent.
Set inside the historical centre of Lucca it boasts an enviable position in respect of the main squares of the town, but still enjoys the peaceful atmosphere of being on a quiet road.
Everything is within walking distance, with Lucca's famous Botanic Gardens literally a few hundred meters away. There are countless restaurants to choose from all within a stone's throw, and Lucca's train station with direct link to Pisa or Florence is only a five minute walk. Raised on a high base, the main portal on the north side leads to an inner yard, decorated with a traditional Italian garden with orange and lemon trees fitted in large terracotta pots along with pattern evergreen bushes. The entrance to this apartment opens onto this graceful courtyard.
This luminous apartment with high vault ceiling is made up of a living room with dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, a master bedroom and a bathroom with shower on the ground floor. Via a spiral staircase one reaches the first floor where there is a double bedroom, with an en suite bathroom. In the basement there is a laundry area equipped with washing machine and dryer.

Except for a brief delay in checking in to the apartment, my friend and I really enjoyed staying in this property. It was convenient to a great bakery around the corner (although closed on Wednesdays) and convenient to other bakeries, gilato shops, trattorias, and key roads to many plazas, churches, and amazing architecture. The apartment has 2 bedrooms and bathrooms located on two floors. The circular stairway to the 2nd floor was a little tricky but worth the climb as the view into the gardens was beautiful. We especially enjoyed the pantry kitchen which contained good kitchen appliances and spices! The living room was beautifully decorated and comfortable. I would certainly stay at this location again and recommend it 100%.
