Hidden Gem - Cozy, New 1 br/1 ba unit in a peaceful and centrally located place

My wife and I have been visiting Monterey for years and love the cool weather and peaceful vibe of the area. First, the accommodations were excellent. The unit itself is very new. The neighborhood is incredibly quiet and nestled in the Skyline Forest area of Monterey. The roads and driveways can be steep, but the views are amazing. Here is some notes and clarifications about the ADU: - The EV charging is a 125/250v 50a outlet and you will need to bring your own EV cable. - There is a private entrance and gate with a nice patio table and chairs right outside the front door, including an outside storage cabinet. - There are several electrical outlets and USB plugs available. - The wall mounted Smart TV was much larger than expected. - Carmel, downtown Monterey, and Pacific Grove were only about a 10 to 20-minute drive away. - Due to the full kitchen, we were able to have lighter and healthier meals instead of relying on fast food and restaurants. - Having access to a clothes washer and dryer was a major convenience. - Don’t be surprised to see deer grazing on the grass visible from your window! Second, Jack and Jane, were wonderful hosts, being extremely helpful in offering information and suggestions, without being intrusive. Respectful of our privacy, they were very responsive whenever we needed assistance. It was a pleasure getting to know Jack and Jane, who are both charming, and look forward to seeing them again during our next visit to Monterey.

The location and the rental itself are quite stunning. Peaceful walks through conveniently located mountain trails in the morning to quiet nights nearly void of light pollution; great stargazing opportunities! Include that with the brand new interior and you feel like you're living in luxury. The bed is huge and very comfy, the shower is amazing with great water pressure and plenty of warm (or cold) water for you to unwind in. But surely the most comforting part of all was how kind the owners were. Jack and Jane were extremely hospitable. They always saw to it to make sure I had everything I could need and really helped me feel like I was at a home away from home. Cheers to them, they've really done a great job. My stay went as smoothly as I could've imagined.
