With everything you need for a great coastal retreat with family and friends, A Pelicans Perch may become your regular landing spot for time at the beach. With large living areas on two floors, it’s easy to split the house with friends, provide privacy for family members who prefer some quiet or give the kids their own space. The ground floor has two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and another with a full bed, a hallway bath and a family room with a gas fireplace, a beautiful piano for your enjoyment, TV/DVD, plenty of seating. A fenced yard means the kids can play outside, too.
Upstairs, in addition to two more bedrooms with queen beds, the ocean-view great room includes comfy leather sofas, corner windows for lots of Pacific light, a dining table and extra seating at a kitchen bar. With its tile floors and galley layout, the kitchen is beautifully equipped for eating in. An outdoor deck has a clear screen around the hot tub for soaking in all kinds of weather.

All cleaning policies meet or exceed CDC standards and recommendations. Our team wears new masks, gloves and shoes covers each time they enter home to prepare it for a new stay. We clean and disinfect all hard surfaces and high-touch items such as appliance handles, light switches, door knobs, remote controls, etc. We also clean and disinfect all dishes/glassware, silverware, bedding, towels and other linens as well as tubs and toilets. Meredith Lodging has added the extra measure of a pre-check-in inspection to make sure all of our cleaning and disinfecting procedures are complete and to our standard before you arrive.
Once it passes inspection, your home sits empty until you arrive for your contact-free check-in. Additionally, if your home features a private hot tub, rest assured it is disinfected, treated and cleaned thoroughly after each departure so that you and your guests can enjoy it with peace of mind during your stay.

I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I didn't know what to expect based on the pictures but this home had good reviews and was available when we needed it, so we went with it. This home is functional, but it is worn out. The pictures and reviews make this appear quaint but its like moving into an early 80's rummage sale. The kitchen and 2 of the bedrooms are upstairs so plan to lug all your stuff upstairs. The two downstairs bedrooms do not have closets or much room for your belongings. When you get to the upstairs bedroom the blinds don't work, they all had one problem or another. When we arrived there was no water in the downstairs bathroom because it was spraying out under the sink (they came and fixed it right away but I'm not sure how the cleaners could have missed that), the top tray of the dishwasher is broken and will come out in hand if you aren't careful, the paint is peeling off the deck, all the window sills are water stained, and the house smells musty. There are no filters for the coffee machine - be sure to bring yours unless you like grit in your coffee. It does have nice space up and down so you can separate the party across two levels which could be nice. The fridge was ice cold and the ice maker worked well, that was nice. But overall we found it shabby and used up for what we paid. But others liked it - its all in the eye of the beholder. We've rented with VRBO a number of times and had great experiences - this one was a let down.
