Town: The thriving Lakeland village of Staveley is situated on the eastern fringes of the Lake District National Park and offers superb access to the whole region. The beautiful Kentmere Valley is just a short walk away and with the River Kent tumbling its way through the valley to Staveley, it is very popular with mountain bikers and walkers alike. Staveley Mill Yard is a former wood turning mill at the heart of the village, which is now a thriving tourist attraction with cycle hire and outdoor shops, artisan bakery, brewery and the renowned Wilf's Cafe. This complements the excellent range of amenities in the village, which include a variety of shops, two village pubs, craft shops, a children's playground, a regular bus service and a railway station. Close by, the bustling towns of Kendal, Windermere, Bowness and Ambleside are popular with visitors, providing a range of amenities to suit all tastes. Lake Windermere offers boat trips, including a ferry to the Lakeside Aquarium and Grizedale Forest Park. It is a nice house with all the necessary equipment. The furniture is somewhat old and mixed but all is in good order including a new TV. The owner is not taking care of his property, but when we had in issue with the electricity it was fixed inside one hour.

Great location plenty of room for a longer stay. Great local shops and pub and also local walks and close enough to Kendall to go there for dinner. Need to include instructions for washing machine. General store great for supplies like coffee required for coffee machine

Cottage was well-equipped and attractive. Nice wood-burning stove was much appreciated for our autumn stay. Staveley is an excellent location for access to both Kendal and the Lakes and has a few great cafes, shop and a local pub. The cottage’s living area was spacious and very comfortable. Thank you
