Mulberry Cottage is one of three beautifully converted barns nestling on a working farm in the picturesque and quiet village of Skerne near Driffield, in the rural heartland of the East Riding of Yorkshire. This beautifully presented barn has been tastefully decorated and furnished with guests’ comfort in mind.

Step inside and go up the stairs to the main living area which is open plan featuring exposed brick work and original beams. Two sofas surround a wood burner offering the perfect place to relax and unwind in front of the TV after a long day exploring the local area. The country-style kitchen is compact yet beautiful, and offers all the facilities you would expect in a modern holiday home, whilst the dining table is perfectly placed to gather on an evening and enjoy some delicious home cooked meals. Off the living area you will find a master bedroom with kingsize bed and en-suite with a freestanding roll-top bath.

Downstairs are two further double bedrooms and a separate house bathroom with shower room and toilet. The front door off the entrance hall leads to a large enclosed patio with hot tub to the right, and to the left is the door to the annexe bedroom with its own separate entrance. In here you can retreat away from the main cottage, you will find a zip and link super kingsize bed, tea and coffee making facilities and a mini fridge. There is also an en-suite bathroom. The enclosed patio area has a beautiful table and chairs to comfortably seat eight, and here you can enjoy an early morning coffee before heading out for the day, or perhaps on your return in the afternoon you can spend a while relaxing in the hot tub.

This family run farm has been in the hands of the owners for the past four generations and has all the farmyard animals you could think of including, cows, calves, sheep, lambs, horses, ponies, geese and chickens. Why not explore the 450 acres of land with some lovely riverside walks?

The bustling seaside towns of Bridlington, Filey and Hornsea are within a short drive and for those wishing to explore the area by bike, you can find the unspoilt rolling hills of the Yorkshire Wolds just a short drive away. This beautiful barn conversion is the ideal holiday home for your Yorkshire holiday.

We have just got back from a wonderful family holiday. The cottage is an amazing base for adventuring out around the east coast of Yorkshire lots of places to visit. Beautiful location and loved the family farm feel. The cottage is clean and has a great lay out for a big family. The children loved it! Lovely rustic feel to the cottage and the facilities were great. We would definitely come back! Hot tub was amazing and the hosts are lovely very accommodating. Overall we had a great experience. Very good value for money.

Great cottage, located on a working farm.Good directions given on how to find them. With good communication prior to arrival by email.3 Bedrooms in main cottage, 2 on lower floor with 1 bathroom with shower a 1 big bedroom upstairs off the living room with a big en-suite with a roll top bath, these were all are lovely and all clean.Good size open plan dining/living area with table big enough to sit 8 people.2 large sofas and 2 comfy wicker chairs.Kitchen is small but has everything you need enough plates, cutlery etc… also had a dishwasher with tablets included. The welcome pack was lovely. The annex attached is a good size with a bathroom. Also had a fridge and kettle provided. The outside of the cottage is private with a patio area, table and chairs and a hot tub..No shops or pub in the village , theres a pub called the Trout Inn which can be reached by foot. But it’s a narrow road to get there, and about half hr walk, wouldn’t want to walk back in the dark. The owner seemed nice and greeted us on arrival other than that we didn’t see them much as they were busy on the farm.Designated parking bays for 2 cars. However if parked closer you’d probably get 3 cars. The other cottages were all as private and had there own parking.I would recommend if you want to chill out with the family or couples Can’t comment on the local area as we spent the day at the coast and stayed in in the evenings
