We were first given a room with balcony but you are unable to use the balcony - bird poop on windows, moulded floor, rusty grills. Definitely need maintenance. Veryyyy old carpet inside, veryyy small shower room with no water pressure. If you’re claustrophobic you won’t be able to stay in the room. We managed to complain and transferred to a better spacious room but still the facilities truly need renovation or an upgrade. If I am in Four in bed show , this hotel only deserve a *** per night. The location is only the best thing I can recommend but if you want to enjoy your stay then better consider air BnB with new facilities..

Stayed in St Ives for NYE, and this was one of the last hotels going on the booking sites. As other reviews have said, the location is great - close to the station and a short walk into the main parts of St Ives. Exterior was promising, but inside there was an odd smell in some corridors and our room was run down. Great potential but is in desperate need of wholesale refurbishment to bring it up to standard. Price was fair for NYE, but if we'd have looked earlier I expect that we'd have found somewhere nicer to stay for cheaper.
