Gunn House Hotel

The staff very friendly. But don’t expect so much for the price. The room is dusty and the bed have bugs.

The hotel is really cute and historic, including the breakfast room. It could be SO much more with just a few minor improvements, but until those are done I don't think we'll stay again. From cheapest to more expensive to do, I'd love to see: - Much cleaner tub => a lot of mold around the tub, perhaps re-grouting - Getting new outlet covers, current ones are super loose so my plug falls out every few minutes - Get better / newer pillows, they cost $2 at Walmart, forget the dirty throw pillows for decoration, just provide each bed with 4 full clean pillows - Provide some one time use cups - Get new linens, while I understand they're probably clean, they all have unremovable stains from many years of use, a new set can be obtained for under $20 and you could make that back in one reservation! - Rip out the dirty looking carpet (though it might have been vacuumed) and get hardwood floors - Invest in new beds - Invest in better windows that block out street noise Pros: - Very strong nice heater - Cute and has character - Hot breakfast (though more than one apple for fruit would be appreciated) - Spacious bathroom with double sink
