Property is very close to the beach so it was wonderful for walks. Only thing that we didn’t like was that there is no oven in the kitchen. Also house will benefit from having a bbq as during Christmas time we could find any at the shops. Very quiet area my family had a quality time together. Thanks

we stayed off peak season and it was extremely quiet. very comfortable and only few guests. well located for the beach. very peaceful and quiet. would be nice though if there was staff at the site to greet us. keys were left in a safe which we were given the code and then we let ourselves into the aprtment. There were no Wifi at all in the apartments. There was a Wifi signal in reception but it was very poor signal and very slow.

We know the area having visited on and off over the past 25 years. We went out of season in February as we wanted a short weekend break away from London out of the U.K. that was easy to get to and where getting some good restaurant seafood was possible in the surrounding towns and on the way down from Calais.
If you want sea, sky and aren't too fussed by nightlife, shops and entertainment not being 'on tap' - this is a good base to visit the surrounding area (the coastal resort of Hardelot and the main town of Boulogne are very close). A car is important as your options are increased and, though good from Boulogne, you're then not reliant on public transport.
Although the instructions to get to the apartment read like a Mission Impossible script, they are straightforward once you're there. It was clean, well-furnished and very serviceable: we had a lovely view of the beach from our 2nd floor balcony.
If you happen to like cooking and also don't want to eat out all the time, you might get frustrated with the relatively low tech kitchen and limited utensils/crockery - an oven would be a good addition. But whatever you do, make sure you stop off at the Supermarche before arriving, as shops and grocery stores are very limited in Equihen itself.
Watch out heating-wise: the fire alarm is v sensitive to humidity and as it was cold, we'd had the radiators on and above 21 degrees to keep the apartment nice and cosy; at 4:13am the alarm decided it wanted us to know it existed!
