I loved the area of Wengen the chalet was in. We walked through a very peaceful woods with stream that had ferns and moss like Oregon or Washington state. There were adorable sheep and cows with bells right outside the windows. Amazing views from all 3 balconies, we could see waterfalls, snow covered mountains and watch the paragliders! It was clean nicely appointed, very roomy, nice layout with a washer drier with everything you need for indoor cooking. We picked up COOP groceries in town and had plenty of room for dinning for 8 at the table and 4 more at the adorable out door table on the main level balcony off the living room. It could easily sleep 12 with 4 bathrooms. The Wengen village was perfect for us to visit Grindelwald, Murren and the Interlaken lakes. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends.
The chalet is a long walk from the train station up and down very steep roads both ways. We did enjoy the .9 mile walk each way but you must allow an extra 20 minutes for the walk each direction. The house main floor is not well lit in the living room and hall area but the kitchen and all the other rooms had a lot of natural light. The basement shower cold water handle was seized up and looked like it had been for a long time; making it unusable. The hot water ran out quickly so 2 of 5 showers were cold. The rental office were always closed when we came and left so I didn’t report the handle on the shower on day 3 of 5 so the staff said you should have reported it right away. They were not very friendly. I asked for another set of towels, for our 5 person that arrived 1/2 way through or stay, but she refused saying it’s a self service apartment! We only had 5 people and shared bathrooms so I didn’t take the time to notify them earlier. The company never offered a shuttle and had no information on taxi service sent to me or available upon arrival in the house. We later found from a local who stayed a couple doors down his friend ran a taxi service he could take us back and forth for $25 CHF each way but there was not service from the rental company themselves.

Alles sehr sauber und schön eingerichtet. Genug Platz für 8 Leute. Genug Badezimmer und WC, sehr wichtig bei einem Gruppen Ski Urlaub. Küche voll ausgeschttet, man könnte zuhause alles vorbereiten. Die Preis / Leitung war hervorragend.
Irgendwann ist das warme Wasser bei 8 Leute ausgegenagen. Dann sollte man den Turbo-Knopf drücken und warten, jedoch Platz für Optimierung.
Die Lage ist nicht optimal, da man 20min zufuß bis zum Skilift gehen muss. Die Gastgeber haben sich um Ski Garderobe dirket vor dem Skilift gekümmert, alles kostenfrei, allerdings 2x20 min Lauf mit Straßenschuhe täglich erforderlich. Es gäbe die Option direkt zum Laubernhorn Abfahrt zu laufen, etwa 5 min entfernt von dem Haus, der Skilift dort öffnet aber erst um 09:00... Aber bei dem Preis - Top!

You will find everything you need in this apartment. I celebrated my bday here and instead of eating outside we decided to cook since everything is available in the kitchen.
The surrounding is very quiet and the team is very active in responding to your queries. Good WiFi connection.
Rooms are very spacious and each room has its own bathroom and bed is amazing very comfy.
When it comes to cleanliness this is SUPERB!
It requires 20-30 minutes walk from Wengen train station to the apartment. If you have some heavy luggages it might be a challenge. Not really an issue for us because it is worth the walk once you reach the place.
