Nothing, it was well equipped and comfortable

It was a great large house with plenty of space for a group of 11 people. It was in a good location for us to climb Snowdon, Cwm Idwal, Cader Idris and walk the Mawddach Trail. Ideal for days trips to Caernarfon, Menai Straits, Anglesey and the Llyn Peninsula!
On arrival no heating or hot water but the owners soon resolved this and wouldn’t put us off coming again

WE LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS PROPERTY! We were a party of 10 adults, 3 children aged 9, 4 and 2 and a 5 month old baby. there was plenty of beds in the 8 ensuite bathrooms. There was plenty of parking for our five vehicles. It was in a very rule location in North Wales, we were down a farm track next to a small farm - it was very peaceful indeed as we were nowhere near the small road. Upon arrival / before check-in 2 of the party went up to the property to check the location and they bumped into the cleaning team who allowed them to put some groceries and frozen goods in fridge/freezer. Thanks to Donna and cleaning team for this. This was excellent from our point of view. The beds were extremely comfortable and spacious. The kitchen was fantastically equipped. The dining hall was huge. We had two lounges and a pool room. The garden was safe for the children to kick a ball in. The back patio had a lovely, large patio table and BBQ for sunnier weather for outside dining. We would highly recommend this property and would be looking to book again in the future.
There were no information on how to put the heating on although it was set on a timer to come on for the morning. However the owner Kina responded quickly to my query and pointed us in the right direction on where to find the switch to override the heating. The recycling bins were down on the lane and upon arrival the recycling stacking trolley was full - we did however recycle our rubbish into bags but animals / probably cats had been rummaging in them during the night so I had to pick the litter up and replace in the bags. It did not impact on our wonderful stay by any means but I believe it would be a good idea to have more recycling bins at the property.

The house was stunning, the area was beautiful and perfectly located near Harlech castle and Barmouth. The bedrooms were all en-suite which was good. The host was very attentive and tried to fix any issues immediately. We paid a great value price (much cheaper than usual maybe due to time of year) considering the house was so large with all en-suite bedrooms.
As it was a very old building with old windows the property was cold until the heating kicked in. Could benefit from some heaters downstairs in the lounge areas as these struggled to warm up. The house was tired and had little things broke/worn in places. Overall it wasn’t as clean as we would have expected, with dirty floors in kitchen and some bathrooms not cleaned well enough, which I believe is the cleaning company’s failure not the host. The cleaners actually accused us of leaving a dirty bed sheet with dog mess in the cupboard of one of the bedrooms which is absolutely not true and did not belong to us at all. The hot water didn’t work in a couple of bedrooms due to an old system being on a timer. This was fixed once a gentleman came to look at the issue the next day. There was other dogs in the farm/houses nearby which came onto the land a lot and wandered about the garden. There was lots of dog excrement all over the grounds which was not ideal if enjoying the outside areas. I would not have been happy paying a higher price considering the issues we had.
