The location of the stay is excellent, some 10-min walk from the La Spezia Centrale station. My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the beautiful 4th-floor apartment bathed in sunlight and fresh air. The classic decor, glossy parquet, chandeliers, and ample sunlight made it a delightful home. We would love to return to La Spezia and stay here again, but several maintenance and amenity issues impacted our experience. When we complained following our first night’s experience, the owner graciously agreed to look into the matter. When we returned at the end of the day he fixed the broken socket and switch in the kitchen, bought a new frying pan, a new toaster, a plug adapter for the electric kettle, and had the fans cleaned. We appreciate his responsiveness.

The kitchen was poorly furnished, lacking essential tools, including a kitchen knife (we used a pocketknife as cutlery knives were blunt), ladles, serving spoons, a saucepan, and a toaster. The large frying pan was burnt and unusable, and a broken electrical switch prevented use of the electric kettle. We managed by heating milk in a dish and toasting bread one slice at a time in a small frying pan. There were very few pots, pans, cutlery and crockery. Each bedroom had only one wall socket, with no multi-socket adapters provided. Two dusty pedestal fans were unusable due to limited sockets. The apartment door was loose, lacked a key lock from the inside, and didn’t close securely, making us feel unsafe. The bedroom door with balcony access remained ajar, and the WC door had no lock.

Le lit, qui en réalité un clic clac, dans la chambre du fond est horrible. Le matelas est creusé et vraiment inconfortable. L’autre lit est bon. Rue assez bruyante (circulation, chien) et l’immeuble est mal insonorisé.
