The staff were excellent (when you could find them -- it's understaffed). The building itself and common areas are very nice. They are accommodating for pets. It's set in a relaxing and beautiful nature park with tennis, a lake, and vineyards. It's near a cute town with lots of restaurants but the good ones get booked up so make reservations!
It needs an influx of cash as it's poorly maintained (flaking paint, etc). Most of the rooms could use a good interior decorator. Our room had mold issues, only two small bed pillows (we usually sleep with two each but couldn't find any staff to get more), and the plumbing woke us with a grinding noise whenever other rooms used the bathroom. We could hear people walking above us, so make sure to be on the top floor.
It's inconvenient that there's no restaurant, not even a stocked minibar, even for snacks.
