About this bed and breakfast
Our spacious mother-in-law's retreat includes an outdoor hot tub, dining area and BBQ. The unit is directly across from the Empire Mine Penn Gate entrance with 800 acres of walking trails, less than one mile to downtown Grass Valley & four miles to downtown Nevada City. You can enjoy wine tasting, taprooms, art galleries, restaurants, boutiques, hiking & biking. Swim, fish, and play on the Yuba River & too many lakes to list. Relax, dine and play

Amazing location- just cross the street to enjoy the trails at Empire Mine State Park and Main Street is just minutes away by car. The backyard oasis is beautiful and wonderful to use, including the hot tub! The listing details and communication made it very easy to park, use the keyless entrance, and understand specific details about using their home. Although the space is a bit outdated, many details were considered to make our stay quite nice. The kitchen is small but mighty and has anything you may need to cook while there. Lots of extra blankets, pillows and towels. The bed is extremely comfortable too!

Wonderful cozy place on the east side of Grass Valley - close to town, right by a trailhead for a great state park (Empire Mine), plus worked out well for the forestry workshop I attended in the area. Easy to check in, great living area, nice bed, great water pressure in the shower - plus a great setting with pines all around. Would definitely book this place again the nest time I am in that area

Nice property convenient to Empire Mine Park, so hiking trails right there. Had a nice basic kitchen for coffee/tea in the morning. Grounds were very nice. Bed room very comfortable. Enjoyed our stay!
