Perfect size for our family of 4, excellent location with bakery, markets, shops, restaurants right on our doorstep and then the beach and nice walks moments away, nice little balcony too with great views. Finally - the host was very helpful and friendly.
Nothing to complain about, internet went down but that was a service provider issue and didn’t really affect us anyway.

A lot of things are closed in January here, and we were lucky to find this location. That was so fantastic next-door to a great restaurant and coffee shop an easy access to the train station and the trails. Perfect for two friends traveling that don’t want to share a bed.

Wow, I hope the people reading this have a moment to read because its going to be a long one. My keyboard would probably blow up from all of the typing recommending the good things about this place so please be patient. =)
1. After getting off the train in Monterosso station the walk to the property was about a 5-minute walk. Which was very convenient as we were carrying 2 big suitcases each. After admiring the gorgeous scenery and leisurely walking toward our room, as we came out of the tunnel and into the village of Monterosso we were walking with phone in hand using our google Maps (it will be your best friend and surprisingly accurate with walking instructions) I hear this little voice calling out, "Matthew...... Matthew......" I didn't quite hear it clearly but my wife said "Babe, someone is calling your name." I paid more attention at that point and I heard it again, as I looked in that direction I see this sweet little timid girl, calling my name. Of course I smiled and the host, Francesca stood up and called our name. It was our host, her daughter, and her granddaughter ( the little girl calling my name.) They introduced themselves and the daughter and child went off on their way and Francesca walked us to our room. Personally. Passed over the key and answered any questions we had.
2. The room was wonderful. It was the largest property we had stayed out during our entire stay in Europe (3 weeks) and was the most reasonably priced also. The bed was comfortable, was full kitchen, as well as washer for us to do our clothes. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, glasses, cooking components, washing detergent and all of the normal amenities you would expect from a stocked furnished flat. The bed was very comfortable, and we had two large windows in the room that we kept open and let the nice cool night air flow in and circulate throughout the room. I love sleeping with a cold breeze blowing in.
There is absolutely nothing negative to say about this place. It was an amazing experience from the time we stepped off the train until the time we had to leave. I am only writing in this space since I ran out of space in the category above. We Loved Monterosso and it was probably our favorite location that we visited in all of Italy. The hiking trails between the 5 villages were great, scenic views and everything was just so peaceful, and perfect. I cant speak highly enough about our host and property that we stayed in. Ive already recommended it to two other friends headed to Europe early next year, and without a doubt, our next trip we will return to Monterosso and will ABSOLUTELY STAY with Francesca again and in one of her properties.

The apartment is well furnished and clean with all the works. Location is right in the old town centre with lots of eateries around. Had one of our best lunch in Italy at one Osteria just 2 mins from the apartment. About 10 mins walk from the train station but well worth the effort. Host is very nice and friendly. Had good communications with her prior to our arrival due to some train strike affecting our travel. And she was very accommodating to our change of arrival timings. Thank you for making our stay memorable.
