Excellent location. Extraordinarily beautiful hotel interior. Good facilities. Significant staff training issues that need addressing. Most worrisome, our Do Not Disturb sign was not respected on two consecutive days. I wouldn’t wish the check-in experience we had on anyone—it felt like an entrance exam. Many staff walk around with long faces and lack basic interpersonal skills and a service mindset. For such a high quality hotel, they can do much better with adequate training. I’m looking forward to a next visit and hope to be pleasantly surprised.

Very interesting hotel with loads of history. Rooms a but 'cold' atmospherically - with bare walls - no pictures/paintings/ornaments. Also small windows (it was an armoury I guess!). Breakfast good - shame more food choice is offered at other times - only a very limited snacks menu. But overall I enjoyed my stay.
