The Cottage

We loved the traditional features and the views are gorgeous 😍 You can see the sea from upstairs windows The cottage was so warm and cosy we didn't have to light the fire The décor is very retro we loved the old singer sewing machine so much also the telephone, mirrors and wall cabinet😍❤️ A well equipped kitchen and a basket with biscuits, tea towel, information leaflets. Also tea, coffee, hot chocolate, sugar, condiments, washing up liquid, sponge, dishwasher tablets, cleaning products and cloth. Netflix and other channels Also dvds and digital radio to Bluetooth music Comfortable beds Night lights in numerous sockets with a torch 👍

Not much we didn't like really Maybe just for us there wasn't enough light at night outside, we had a dog that needed to go out. We used a torch we found

Nothing it was perfect, for a family of 4

All the rooms were spacious and tastefully furnished. There was everything you could need. Didn't use the open fire, as the cottage was warm enough. The views from the front windows were amazing. Great to have off road parking. We also took the bus to Whitby as conveniently it stops directly outside. Yummy biscuits in the welcome basket and complementary tea, coffee and sugar. Plenty of outside seating, must be lovely in good weather. Great location for visiting the coastal villages. Would definitely come back again. 👍😊

Fridge has a small freezer compartment, but it was adequate for our needs.

Lots of flies in the property, but was across the road from fields so i would think this is the reason for that. To say the cottage is Dog friendly i wouldn't agree, a list on kitchen wall of what your pet is not allowed to do & not allowed upstairs. Also the owners lived on site & if that was my property i would make a point of welcoming them & pointing out good beaches / places to visit etc. Didn't feel they wanted to speak, other than when we was leaving and they waved goodbye.
