Apartment completely tastefully renovated by us, located in the heart of downtown Caen, near the Place Saint-Sauveur.
Lots of light with a real view of the steeple of Saint-Sauveur church.
The accommodation is composed of an equipped kitchen, a table with two chairs, a glass roof that separates the living room / bedroom area, two armchairs, a TV on the wall, a large double bed, a bathroom, and Fiber (WIFI )

L'Expérience d'Elie, named after Léonce Elie de Beaumont is the witness of the rise of Caen wealthiest class from the middle of the 19th century wich saw the rehabilitation of the old town, the development of the Saint-Julien district from the north. and the erection of the Saint Martin district which will later supplant the Saint Jean district - until then the historic and bourgeois district of the city -.
The building has 4 levels, each showing a fully renovated accomodation. On the ground floor, a one-bedroom apartment, on the first and second floor a one-bedroom apartment with separate kitchen and bathroom, on the top floor, a charming one-bedroom apartment with the charm of beams and views over the roofs of the old city.It had been partly destroyed by the bombardments of 1944 and the whole district has been razed to be rebuilt except for the church of Old Saint Sauveur, the pastor college and ... 1 rue Elie de Beaumont!

We absolutely loved this apartment! The location was unbeatable. The apartment was clean, safe, and exactly what we needed for our long weekend in Caen. If you rent a car, there’s a parking garage close to the property that was safe and affordable! We would absolutely stay here again!

The property was well located, clean and easily accessible. It was very convenient to explore Caen and Bayeux from this base. There is a lovely restaurant diagonally opposite on rue des Namps (La Casinière). My one small complaint is that no tea towel was supplied, and yet there was an expectation to wash and dry the dishes before leaving (perfectly happy to do that). I sent a message the day we arrived regarding this and no reply was received.

Convenient for what we wanted to do.as seniors very hard to bring luggage to the top floor. Appreciate the manager extending our stay for 1night. No elevators and spiral staircase.
