Radda, Chianti. Surrounded by beautiful hills, the villa is ideally situated for exploring Italy’s cultural treasures as Florence, San Gimingnano and Siena are all an hour’s drive away. Colto dei Pallanti is very much a traditional Tuscan home, furnished with rustic wooden beams and terracotta tiles. On the ground floor is an en-suite room that opens out into the beautiful garden, while upstairs is the master bedroom and a smaller double room. Outside, guests have everything they need to relax: a sauna, jacuzzi and a swimming pool which is heated in the colder months and has a covered seating area to provide shelter from the sun. There are mountain bikes in the villa available for guests, so there’s the option to take in the rural beauty of the area with a cycling trip. If you are looking for a cultural adventure, Radda is a 15 -minute drive away, where you can sample excellent local food and wine. Smoking - not allowed. Please contact Amanda (call or text/message) as you are leaving the airport so she can inform the owner of your estimated arrival time at Colto dei Pallanti From BOLOGNA airport (approximately 2 hours): • Exit the airport following green signs for the A1 motorway MILANO-FIRENZE • You will do a short stretch of dual carriage way • Join the A1/E35 motorway south bound direction FIRENZE-ROMA • Exit the A1 motorway at FIRENZE IMPRUNETA • After the toll booth follow the green sign for SIENA joining the dual carriage way direction SIENA • Exit at SAN DONATO IN POGGIO • Follow ALL DRIVERS From PISA airport (approximately 1 hour 50 minutes): • Exit the car hire / airport compound and join the FI-PI-LI (dual carriage way) direction FIRENZE. • Just before arriving at the FIRENZE exit following the GREEN motorway signs for A1/E35 direction ROMA. • Join the A1/E35 motorway south bound direction ROMA • Exit the A1/E35 at FIRENZE IMPRUNETA • After the toll booth follow the green sign for SIENA joining the dual carriage way direction SIENA • Exit at SAN DONATO IN POGGIO • Follow ALL DRIVERS From FLORENCE airport (approximately 1 hour 10 minutes): • Exit the car hire compound and turn LEFT. • Turn LEFT at the traffic lights • Follow the road around and stay in the right hand lane • Follow signs for SIENA by turning right BUT keeping in the left hand lane and going on to the flyover (Viadotto del Ponte all’Indiano) • Follow this road without deviation • Turn right following directions FIRENZE-PISA-LIVORNO and green sign AUTOSTRADA A1-A11 • After the toll booth keep left and join the A1 motorway direction ROMA • Exit the A1 motorway at FIRENZE IMPRUNETA • After the toll booth follow the green sign for SIENA joining the dual carriage way direction SIENA • Exit at SAN DONATO IN POGGIO • Follow ALL DRIVERS ALL DRIVERS • Follow directions to CASTELLINA IN CHIANTI and then on to RADDA IN CHIANTI. • On arrival in RADDA IN CHIANTI, drive through the village and down the hill passing the CARABINIERI on the LEFT. • Continue going downhill and just after the bridge bear left and then left again in direction MONTEVERTINE-CASTELLO DI ALBOLA • You are now on SP72 BADIA A MONTEMURO (zero your odometer) • Follow this road and after 4.5km and having past on your left ALBOLA winery turn right direction ALBOLA-CASTELLO DI ALBOLA-LA PETRAIA 2 • From now on the road becomes unmade; follow the unmade road for 700m then when you get to a T-Junction turn left, then immediately left again you will see an electric gate with Simpson Travel sign Welcome to COLTO DEI PALLANTI!
