Vecchio Frantoio is a beautifully restored holiday home in Chianti with a terraced garden and a large pool. Once a historic olive oil mill, the house still preserves its charm and in the living room, guests can admire the impressive old millstone. It is the perfect choice for a holiday with family or friends, surrounded by the gentle hills, vineyards and olive groves of classic Chianti.
The house is set in a peaceful rural location in the heart of Chianti, with easy access to the region’s famous wineries, castles and charming villages. The Casanuova di Ama winery is just a few hundred metres away. Siena, San Gimignano, Florence and Arezzo are all excellent options for day trips. The picturesque village of Lecchi in Chianti is only three kilometres away, offering the excellent Ristorante Malborghetto and a small but well-stocked grocery shop. The delightful town of Radda with more shops and restaurants is just seven kilometres away.
Vecchio Frantoio consists of a two-storey stone house with a large covered terrace, perfect for outdoor meals, as well as a separate cottage with a bedroom, dining area with kitchenette and bathroom - ideal for guests who appreciate extra privacy. The spacious garden offers many cosy seating areas and spots to relax.
Inside, you’ll find a charming blend of traditional Tuscan style and very comfortable, lovingly chosen furnishings with many beautiful details.

We spent two beautiful September weeks at Vecchio Frantoio where the spirit and tranquility of Tuscany warmed our hearts and rejuvenated our souls. This property exceeded all our expectations! We were two adult couples seeking a quiet relaxing vacation and this home was perfection. The property is located in a very quiet little hamlet situated perfectly between Siena and Florence. You will need a rental car to fully enjoy this location. This villa had everything we needed and more. The main building housed two large bedrooms each with their own bathroom and a fully functioning kitchen and laundry. The second building was is a beautifully appointed studio with a small kitchen. This provided the right amount of privacy for adult couples but still allowing us to enjoy each other's company. The whole property is meticulously maintained and beautifully appointed. The beautifully landscapes terraces provided endless options from which to enjoy the stunning Tuscan views. The pool and hot tub were just the toppings on the cake. One of the first things we noticed was how quiet the property was. Sitting on the patio, taking in the glorious sunsets with a glass of Chianti Classico...Well, is just doesn't get better than that. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
Ms. Erjolla was a pure delight and took wonderful care of us. Booking through To Tuscany was a breeze. Communications and directions from To Tuscany were easy and efficient. This was the perfect vacation and we couldn't be happier.
