About this house rental
Island paradise awaits at our custom-built, light-filled modern home. From the moment you arrive, captivating views of the Salish Sea, East Sound, outer islands, and snow-capped Canadian mountains greet you. Lounge on the expansive deck and watch bald eagles soar while you relax and take in unforgettable sunsets. The property backs out to a serene, forested hillside. The barrel sauna will make you feel like you’re at a secluded retreat, but Eastsound village amenities are just minutes away.
Stunning water views from nearly every room in the house (and the barrel sauna!) are among the best on the island. Oversized windows and light reflecting off the water mean the home is bright and full of light year-round. Furnished in a clean, modern aesthetic, our spacious home is welcoming and comfortable.
The main level is wheelchair accessible and features a large master bedroom with an en suite bath and an office area with a Mirror home gym. Also on the first floor is a newly remodeled, well-stocked kitchen with a breakfast nook, a separate dining area, large living room, powder room, a mudroom with washer/dryer, and an expansive deck with access from both the master and living room.
The mesmerizing water views continue on the lower level. Downstairs the two remaining bedrooms are positioned at opposite ends of the house for total privacy. The large queen bedroom provides a second workspace for remote work. The family room features a sleeper sectional sofa and play area for children, as well as access to a lower deck. The kids bedroom is equipped with a twin bed, XL twin 6" foam floor mattress, and pack-n-play crib. A full bathroom with tub and kitchenette complete this level.
Take in the stunning local beauty from all the outdoor spaces. Expansive decks off both levels provide sweeping water and forested hillside views. You'll also have access to a fenced backyard and barrel sauna with cold plunge shower.

The only reason why I’m hesitant to give five stars is this place will not be available next time I’m on Orcas….. the house is perfect in every way. If you have kids the place will not disappoint. The views are just breathtaking… the kitchen was well equipped with sharp knives as well…… I was on island for the weekend to look at property and see friends…I ended up spending most my time on the deck watching the birds fly and taking in the incredible views…. If you’re looking at staying on orcas I would not hesitate to book this house. It will not disappoint.

Memorable view from the deck and a quiet, serene location. Communication with the host was very good. In general, we were overwhelmingly pleased with our stay. It comfortably fit our family of 5 plus our friends’ family of 4. We only ran into trouble with sleeping arrangements when we discovered that the ninth “bed” was a pack n play. Fortunately our friends had sleeping bags. The house was also short on extra bedding and there were no towels to bring to the lake. We did, however, appreciate the well-stocked kitchen and found everything we needed there.

We could not be more pleased with our experience at this property. It was everything we were hoping for and then some!
Location - It's a quick easy drive to conveniences available in Eastsound and centrally located on the island to be able to easily hit all the highlights.
Setting - When we started looking for a place, gorgeous views were at the top of my list. We had never been to the area but wanted to experience the breathtaking views we'd seen in pictures. I kind of wondered if I needed to temper my expectations a bit because pictures can be misleading and how could something like this be real?! These views are the real deal! The view from the back deck was unlike anything our family has experienced and something we will forever remember.
Cleanliness / General Maintenance - Everything was spotless and nicely maintained. Enough said.
Hosts / General Communication - Our hosts were excellent and clearly very organized. They provided a welcome binder with useful info, made their guide books of the area available to us, and shared a Google Map of their hotspots. We especially made use of the hiking guide book and Google map. We had a general guidebook for the area and had a little bit of an idea of what we wanted to do, but these resources helped us enjoy things we would not have found on our own. We also had a snack bag waiting upon our arrival, which we devoured. We communicated with Sara, who was always helpful and responsive. Not much communication was needed though because everything was so smooth.
Overall, I highly recommend a stay at this property!
