About this house rental

Blake's Point Estate is one of the most spectacular locations on Orcas Island, or within the San Juan Islands, for that matter. Extensive private waterfront and three beaches for your use depending on the time of day and sun exposure. Beautiful, naturally landscaped grounds and a graciously large 3 bedroom home each with ensuite bathrooms make this property your perfect vacation dream destination. The bedrooms are all large and include either window seats or comfortable chairs for your lounging pleasure.
Downstairs you will find a huge great room with large lounging sofas, chairs and even a gaming table for cards and other activities. To one side is the dining room with plenty of seating, and an adjacent kitchen bar counter for dining and communicating with the chef. Speaking of the kitchen it is fitted with almost every cooking feature you can imagine. Plenty of everything.
On the west side of the great room is your door access to the large master bedroom with new King bed and luxury "Heavenly Bed" mattresses as found in one of the high end hotel chains across the country. Luxury linens and bath towels round out this wonderful bedroom, along with a large double vanity bathroom with separate soaking tub and walk-in shower.
Nearby is a den with a queen bed and luxury mattress, plus an ensuite bathroom with clawfoot tub. This room doubles as a working den with its desk area included. The final downstairs amenity is a large, complete laundry room for your use while in residence. Almost forgot the large smart HDTV and entertainment center in the living area.
Upstairs you will find two more Heavenly queen bed rooms with window seats and gracious ensuite bathrooms attached, each with combination tub/shower enclosures. More luxury linens and towels abound.
This wonderful home aside, the real truly extraordinary exterior amenities are what will make your vacation memorable. On the waterside of the main house you will find a huge deck with lounging and outside dining ability. You will enjoy a clear view of the surging water that flows through the nearby passage between Blake's Point on Orcas and Waldron Island. You can actually hear the water running past the Point. Also on the point is a large viewing deck, perfect for watching the sunset each evening.
Life on Orcas Island just doesn't get any better. Book soon as we are already seeing this home book up. Weekly only during the high season with shorter bookings available after Labor Day and before June 15th.

This is a treasure of a find! House has terrific space, both open main floor to enjoy time together and little nooks if you want to escape with a book! Water view from both decks are truly spectacular! And the wildlife will not disappoint....sea otters, eagles and deer to enjoy from your own decks. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here!

We enjoyed staying here so much with our group of parents, three adult kids, and 2 of their partners. The house is located in a very private location, on the water with views of Waldron Island and the Sound. As others have mentioned, the deck is a highlight, built right over the water on the rocks. We spent lots of time there, and saw seals almost daily, lots of water birds, and twice porpoises. A couple of us dipped into the (very cold) water at the beach.
The house itself: the beds are all very comfy and the fact that the two queen rooms upstairs have their own stairs and bathrooms makes them very private, great for groups traveling together. There's a game table, a large dining table, a large table on the deck, and a picnic table on the lower deck over the water. The furniture and carpet and etc. are what you'd expect in a rental house: it was clean, we had what we needed - no complaints! There's one (nice and large, "smart") tv. The kitchen seemed pretty well equipped to me for a rental like this: there's plenty of serving stuff, mixing bowls, cookie sheet pans, lasagna/brownie type pans, even a hand-held mixer etc. - we were able to do some cooking and some baking with no issues. We appreciated the supply of drinking water, provided in a large water dispenser in the butler's pantry. All in all, a very thoughtfully put together and maintained house, now site of great family memories.

We enjoyed our stay and found the home to be beautiful and comfortable.
The carpets could benefit from a cleaning. It would have been nice to have some firewood provided. It was stated that we could get it from the grocery store but we did not find that to be possible. It also would have been nice to have the kitchen be better equipped…not much in the way of useful cookware.

We had a great stay here with friends and family who were all attending a local wedding. The house is perfect for a larger group, with lots of beds, huge common spaces and a nice sized kitchen. The outdoor space is just breathtaking, with most of our guests spending the sunset hour on the patio over the water. The property management was super responsive and helpful. Only wish we could've spent more time there!
