Nestled in the heart of Jamaica Beach, Pelican Paradise offers an idyllic escape for families and travelers seeking relaxation and adventure by the sea. This charming 2-bedroom plus additional main level room, 1.5-bath home invites you to unwind amidst its modern comforts and enjoy the unparalleled proximity to the stunning beachfront.
Weather event cancellations - eligible for refunds when weather or conditions result in a mandatory evacuation order or large-scale outage of essential utilities. Note June through November is considered high storm and hurricane potential season. Travel insurance is recommended - although ensure you are aware of covered conditions.
Occupancy Policy
For a comfortable stay and in accordance with our house rules, the home accommodates up to 4 adults (18+) maximum - up to 6 total guests when including children.
We aim to keep the home affordable for smaller groups. Therefore, there is an additional charge of $25 per night for each guest beyond 5 (regardless of age) and applies to the entire reservation. Please ensure your guest count is accurate when booking. An additional fee of $50 per guest per night will be charged if the number of over-night guests exceeds the number on the reservation.
Exceeding property max will result in eviction without a refund. Maximum combined guests and visitors during the day is 8 including children. Unregistered guests are not permitted in the pool due to insurance reasons.
Parking
The home can accommodate three vehicles. Parking on the street or grass is not permitted.
Pet Policy
Fully house-trained adult dogs are allowed to a max of two and max 50lbs each - NO exceptions - $75 non-refundable pet fee per dog per stay. We ask that pets stay off all furniture, are cleaned up after (doggie bags provided) and are in a kennel if left alone inside the home. Only dogs are allowed - no other types of pets.
An additional fee of $100 per pet in addition to the standard pet fee will be charged and/or eviction without a refund for undisclosed pets.
Service Dogs - Texas House Bill 4164 penalties for falsely representing an animal as a service animal is a misdemeanor punishable by up to a $1000 fine and 30 hours of community service.
Note that the downstairs room (twin trundle and 1/2 bathroom) is not connected to the upstairs so is not suitable for unattended young children to stay.
Guests must be at least 25 years old to book, able to provide government issued photo ID, and have completed the verification process on the booking platform OR have at least one 5-star guest review. NO third-party bookings permitted. The primary guest that books must be at the home for all the nights.
The unheated private pool is typically available (warm enough to swim in) between April and September (exact dates based on weather). There are no guarantees that the pool will be available considering potential repairs and/or weather-related reasons. Note that the community pool does not open until Memorial Day weekend and closes after Labor Day weekend.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
An additional fee of $200 will be charged for smoking inside the house either upstairs or downstairs.
Guests have access to the entire house with the exception of the downstairs supplies room.

HOST WAS VERY KIND AND ACCOMMODATING WITH OUR TRAVEL TIMES. THE PLACE WAS CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE. ONLY 1 ISSUE FOR US WITH PARKING WHICH THAT WAS BOUGHT UP TO HOST AND IT WAS CLEARED FOR US WITH NO HESITATIONS! THANK YOU FOR ALLOWING US TO STAY AT YOUR PROPERTY AND WILL RETURN AGAIN!!!

Pelican Paridise worked out great for us. The pool was perfect for 4 kids. The yard was a nice size and fenced but there was a broken spot in the trellis/pergola, of course my dog found it. Thankfully she was still on her leash when she spotted it. I just had to make sure she didn't go near it. We had everything we needed there. The location was great and was pretty quiet at night.

We loved being able to bring our dogs with us and loved having a fenced in yard for them to run. The house is clean and set up well. We stayed because there is a pool and loved being able to swim when most pools are closed. The house is very close to a public beach also. Communication with the host was easy and included recommendations we asked about.
