This cute coastal cottage, Pineapple by the Sea, comes complete with Jimmy Buffet style beach bar has filtered Gulf and Bay views and is a very quick walk to the Jamaica Beach main access point to the sand and surf! This saltwater shanty is set up for your perfect relaxing surf, sand and sun getaway! With whimsical decor, comfortable furnishings, outdoor shower, and huge deck, your group will be sure to have a memorable and fun island getaway!
The Space:
This bright and light beach pad is located just a couple of blocks from the Gulfside and a bit longer walk or quick car ride to Jamaica Beach City Park with pool. There is also a West Way Grill & Pizzeria, Jamaica Beach Food Store, and Shrimp N Stuff Food Truck within walking distance (or very very quick drive).

Jamaica Beach is its own community located about 10 minutes from the heart of Galveston and is part of the island's West End offering restaurants, grocery, and beach-worthy activities. Jamaica Beach has access to the Gulf side as well as the Bay side (house dependent) and also has its own fire and police department plus city park with pool. Jamaica Beach's boat launch is restricted. If you plan on bringing a boat, the closest public launch is at Waterman's off Stewart Road about 3 miles east of Jamaica Beach.

All 979 rental home follow local and state tax rules. Reservations may be booked up to 365 days in advance. Please send inquiry and details if more than a year out as rates and availability may not be updated. Each reservation includes applicable taxes, a cleaning fee, $1M liability protection and $10K damage insurance - and good news, No Security Deposit Required!
CANCELLATION POLICY:
When booking direct with 979, you may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund. Some exceptions may apply for last-minute reservations. After 24 hours, cancel at least 30 days before your check-in and receive a refund in your original form of payment less a $50 cancellation fee. Cancellations within 30 days of check-in are non-refundable.
Reservations made on 3rd party channels/OTAs such as Airbnb, VRBO, Booking, Hopper etc may be subject to terms and conditions which may be different than 979's. When booking through a 3rd party channel, the cancellation policy you agreed to at the time of booking is the cancellation policy on your reservation.

Really enjoyed my time here. Check-in and check-out were easy and contactless.I was insistent on finding a place with lots of outdoor seating and a grill. This place had that and plenty more. The grill was a full-featured Weber, which I used to cook large dinners for my parents who live on the island. I left behind a charcoal chimney, some tumbleweeds, matches, and hickory and cherry wood chips for the power users.The kitchen had everything you could need and all types of utensils - bottle openers, spatulas, nice kitchen knives. Good selection of Keurig k-cups.For the mattress snobs, fortunately for me, the mattress I slept on (there are two beds) was on the firmer side.You can see the waves of the beach from the porch, and the porch is adjacent to a large field with grazing cattle, so even though it’s a short walk to the beach, you really feel like you have plenty of space.The wifi was great - I got 20 ms ping and decent download/upload rates. For cell service, I got full bars LTE with AT&T.The best part was really the responsiveness of the property manager. I was able to extend my trip twice and get someone on the phone on short notice when I had a question about the trash. I thank them for making me feel supported.I would say two couples or two adult friends could stay here with plenty of space to move around each other. It looks dog-friendly, too.
