Stayed for one week in this very clean chalet spacious, well equipped nice enclosed garden south facing,good heated indoor pool 15 minute stroll to port with bars ect but off course it's the d day history all around you omaha beach just 15 minute drive,sainte-mere-eglise about 30 minutes away

Stayed 4 nights with son-in-law and grandson to tour all the D-Day Beaches and Museums. Chalet was in perfect location being between Utah and Omaha Beaches. Bedrooms were ideal (One double, one twin) and the beds were really comfortable. Shower was excellent and kitchen had everything we needed. Outside charcoal barbecue was superb and we used it every night as we did the heated swimming pool that was next to the chalet. The owners were very helpful and welcoming. The only thing which wasn’t the best was the wifi as it would only let one user and regularly dropped out, however that is beyond the chalet owners control as it is a site issue. We got all our provisions at a supermarket within a couple of minutes drive and the site was very secure with security gates. I would highly recommend the Chalet as a perfect base for exploring the Normandy area.

Upon our arrival, we found a nice welcome gift: a bottle of local cider and little candies. This place wasn't inherently subpar, it just didn't fit what we were looking for. It is in a trailer park type subdivision, not the highest quality build, everything was plastic, even the lamps. Kitchen was decent, no drinking glasses, just two champagne flutes and one mug, otherwise well equipped. (toaster oven, pots and pans, sharp knife etc). There weren't any sheets or towels! The host Julie confirmed that isn't included but she kindly brought us a couple old beach towels and sheets from her home (at 23:00!) It was a great location for visiting the D Day landing beaches and museums. It is also walking distance to the beach but we were there in late October- beach going wasn't the focus of our trip.
