About this cottage rental
The Mews Cottage was part of the barn conversion within the grounds of the Chateau & overlooks the main courtyard.
Large luminous 6.5m x 6.5m living room with armchairs & sofa, TV & DVD player, woodburning stove, dining area & an open plan fully equipped kitchen with oven, four hotplates, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. Ground floor shower room & WC.
At the rear there is a terrace with a tables and chairs, & parking for 2 cars. There is also a table & chairs on the front shared lawn.
2 double bedrooms on the first floor, one of them having a typical Norman lit clos double bed, & a bathroom with WC. On the top floor is a twin bedded mezzanine room.
Bed linen & towel hire is not possible in July or August
The Mews is heated by electric heaters. Bills are not included in the rental price.
It is ideally situated in lovely countryside, 8km from Cherbourg and only 30 minutes from superb sandy beaches opposite Jersey. The Mews Cottage is next to the Carriage House & both are south west facing.

A fantastic stay!
Fiona and Marc are wonderful hosts. We had already been in contact with them beforehand and were able to clarify everything important via WhatsApp. When we arrived, we were greeted very warmly by both of them.
The whole area around the château is beautiful and very well maintained. We stayed in Mews Cottage for 2 weeks. Really quaint and with a lot of attention to detail. When we arrived, the fireplace was already prepared and a bottle of cider was waiting for us in the fridge. Marc immediately gave us lots of good tips about Normandie. We tried out many of them and it was great. We stayed one week as a couple and another week as a group of six. The cottage is big enough and you can manage well with 6 people. The château is conveniently located and you can quickly get to one of the two coasts and also to Cherbourg by car. Carteret beach was the most beautiful for us, but there are also many other beautiful beaches that are easy to reach. Just pay attention to Marc's tips (beaches, sights, restaurants, bars) and it will be great! We were completely satisfied and can 100% recommend a holiday at the Château.

the property has an awesome historic connection with WWII, which we were able to give to the owners. it is also in a little know area of Brix if you are just there for DDAY celebrations as we were, this is an incredible place and has an ambience for everyone. Mark and Fiona are just awesome and so attentive that they are almost tour guide worthy for anyone looking to go around the region in that part of France!
we loved our stay and have new friends with Mark and Fiona to boot!! would definitely stay there again.

Les propriétaires sont très accueillants et sympathiques.
La maison est spacieuse et lumineuse, dans son état d'origine. Le terrain est grand et arboré de très bons goûts.
Seul point noir, une mauvaise évacuation des eaux usées, problème que nous avons signalé au propriétaire qui a proposé une intervention rapide.

Un lieu au charme désuet idéalement situé entre les 2 côtes.
Qq pb de remontée et lavabo bouché ds s de bain rez-de-chaussée.
