Sunset is a quaint complex comprising 3 identical modern maisonettes that share a swimming pool. This charming complex is located in the southern part of Crete on the outskirts of Mariou village, just a short drive from the sandy beaches. Here, you can relish stunning views of the Libyan Sea and the surrounding landscape. Each maisonette has a ground floor featuring a spacious and comfortable living room with a large sofa and dining table, a satellite TV, heating, and captivating vistas. Additionally, there is a fully equipped modern open-plan kitchen and a guest WC.
On the first floor, there are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two single beds, accompanied by a modern bathroom. The balconies on this level offer incredible views of the sea and the surrounding landscape. All areas are air-conditioned, and high-speed WiFi internet is available throughout the complex. Outside, there is a shared swimming pool and outdoor furniture where you can relax.
The village itself hosts a delightful traditional tavern within walking distance from the property, while the famous tourist area of Plakias is just 3 kilometers away, offering an array of amenities and attractions. Within the same distance, you'll find renowned sandy beaches with crystal-clear waters, water sports facilities, and various taverns, cafes, and bars. A car is considered essential to fully explore this beautiful region.

Beautiful house with a nice view over the Damnoni and Plakias Bay. The house is very clean and well equipped. Excellent beds. Very good contact with the owners. We will be back.

The owner was really nice. Cleaning came once a day and every third day they changed towels and bed ware. Service is top class. The house is in great shape. Fresh and new. Great pool next to the house. AC in all bed rooms and AC in the living room. Absolutely satisfied with what we got for our money. Recommend strongly! Near a semi busy road but traffic noise did not bother at all. That is the only down side which even is not an issue at all.
The plumbing as we could not flush any paper down the toilet. Feels unsanitary and strange for us.

Das Haus ist ganz OK.. zu mehr kann ich mich wirklich nicht hinreißen lassen.
Positiv: Alles war sauber, alle Geräte waren vorhanden, recht neu und funktionierten auch alle. Der Ausblick vom Balkon ist MEGA.. (abgesehen von der Baustelle vor der Tür).
Negativ: Über mehrere Tage hatten wir einen penetranten Gestank im Haus. Leider haben wir erst am 3 Tag die Ursache entdeckt. Jemand hatte eine Flüssigkeit (Reiniger?) im Wasserkocher vergessen.
Im oberen Bad tropfte es permanent, eine Klimaanlage klopfte im Betrieb ganz merkwürdig.
Dann hat mich das fehlende Treppengeländer ins obere Stockwerk echt fertig gemacht. Mit Kindern definitiv nicht zu empfehlen. Ich habe Höhenangst und hatte echt Schwierigkeiten damit, meiner Frau war es egal.
Dann könnte ich jetzt noch eine ellenlange Liste von Kleinigkeiten anführen die kaputt waren. Hier kommt der Putz von der Wand, dort sind Fliesen kaputt, in der Küche kam mir eine Steckdose entgegen, im Bad fiel eine Glühbirne aus der Fassung und und und.
Der Checkin war auch etwas traurig. Der Besitzer kam nach Anruf zwar innerhalb von 5min, war aber in 2min wieder weg. Hat uns schnell das allernötigste um die Ohren gehauen und war in 2min wieder weg.
Und dann der POOL.... gruselig!!!
So eine siffige braune Brühe habe ich lange nicht gesehen. Der erste Pool in einem Urlaub in dem ich nicht drin war. Von den alten kaputten Liegen will ich garnicht reden.
Lasst euch nicht von den wunderschönen Bildern täuschen so wie ich.
