The superb sea view from either the balcony, bedroom or living area through the floor to ceiling patio doors is what makes Rouladina Apartment 5 extremely popular. Set amongst a patchwork of green vineyards on the hillside just 500 metres from sandy Stalos beach, Rouladina Apartment 5 is one of a group of just 6 apartments in a quiet neighbourhood. Since they were first introduced to our program, the Rouladina Apartments have proved consistently popular and guests return year after year. They come back, not only for the location and comfort of the apartments, but for the warm welcome from the owners, Manolis and Dimitra. They have their own apartment and take care of the property and their guests with a perfect combination of discrete Canadian/Greek efficiency and genuine Cretan hospitality.Location StalosJust a short stroll downhill from the apartments there is a choice of several tavernas, shops and mini markets. Opposite the apartments is a family run taverna which has been approved by several guests as well. The long sandy beach of Stalos runs for 7kms merging with Agia Marina and Platanias, which are more bustling in peak season vs the low key Stalos beach. There is a regular bus service to Chania on the main road in Stalos. Shared Facilities at Rouladina ApartmentsShared Swimming Pool - 10m x 5m swimming pool. Kitchen - Wooden cupboards, electric oven with hobs, double sink and fridge freezer.Double bedroom - 1 double bed, wardrobe, ceiling fan, full-length patio windows balcony with sea and pool views. Twin bedroom with en suite shower room - 2 single beds (can be placed together), wardrobe, ceiling fan, window to side. Shower room, hand basin and WC.Family bathroom - full bath with shower attachment, wash hand basin and WC.A 5th person can be accommodated on the sofa-bed HousekeepingYour apartment will be prepared for you on arrival with fresh bath and hand towels and all beds made up. For stays of 7 nights or more - house towels will be changed every 3 - 4 days. For stays of 14 nights or more - bed linen will be changed every 7 days. This was such a convenient spot to many of the popular attractions on Crete. We rented a car but also caught the bus so easily as the bus stop was just down the street.The view from our unit was stunning and it was so spacious, clean and quiet. Our hosts were so friendly and kind and the management company sent us helpful information about directions, check in, area activities, transportation, etc. We preordered quality groceries that were waiting for us when we arrived and we really appreciated that service!The beach, shops, and great Tavernas were within walking distance but you felt like you were in a neighborhood away from the loud congested areas.It really suited our needs and was just right in every way!

We loved the setting and situation. For us it was the right distance and right side of Chania and we very much enjoyed having a car, as well as enjoying the local bus service. The Cretan hospitality is lovely, I only hope it’s not spoiled by having too many tourists as in many places.

We enjoyed our stay immensely. The location was perfect and the apartment was beautiful. We especially loved the balcony and the pool. Thank you to our hosts for a wonderful stay!

The property owners were easy to work with. We came in very late and still had no issue getting our key or entering our apartment. There are restaurants and grocery stores about a five minute walk from the property. There are beaches within six minute walk, but the reallly nice beach is a five minute drive. The pool and views were very nice. We did a ton of driving to see the various places around the island, and had a great overall time in Crete.
