About this villa rental
Villa Mera is a part of the KaliMera Villas collection. This 160 sq. m stone-built residence is located in the Adelianos Kampos area, within walking distance of the beach, tavernas, and various amenities. The interior of the villa exudes a traditional charm, with accents of stone and wood throughout. Villa Mera features three bedrooms and can comfortably accommodate up to six guests in beds.
You won't need to rent a car during your stay as everything you might need is within walking distance from the villa. Additionally, you can find a wide range of entertainment options such as bars, cafes, and restaurants in the nearby area of Platanias, which is only a 5-minute drive from the villa. The vibrant center of Rethymno is just a 10-minute drive away.
Layout
Ground Floor:
The ground floor of Villa Mera consists of an open area that includes the living room and kitchen. The living room is equipped with a 32” TV with Netflix, a comfortable corner sofa, a Bluetooth speaker, and a fireplace. Large glass doors in the living room provide access to the pool and the outdoor dining area. There is also a spacious, fully equipped kitchen with a dining table. One of the three bedrooms is located on the ground floor. This air-conditioned bedroom features a double bed (1.40 x 2.00), AC, closet, TV, and direct access to the pool area. Additionally, there is a bathroom with a shower and a washing machine on this level.
First Floor:
Wooden stairs lead you to the other two charming bedrooms of the villa, both with vaulted wooden ceilings. One bedroom contains two single beds (0.90 x 2.00), AC, closet, and TV. The other bedroom also has two single beds (0.90 x 2.00), AC, closet, TV, and a large balcony with sea views. Finally, there is a bathroom with a bathtub on this level.
The outdoor area of Villa Mera includes:
A private 30 m2 swimming pool, 1.40m deep. The pool can be heated upon request with an additional charge of 40 euros per day from 01/04 to 30/04 and from 01/09 to 30/11.

The villa is located only 350 meters away from the beach and amenities like shops, restaurants, and supermarkets. It is situated in a quiet area yet close to everything.
You can stay in our villa without renting a car, as everything is within walking distance.
The Platanias area, where you can find various entertainment options such as bars, cafes, nightclubs, and beach bars, is less than 5 minutes away by car or bus.
The hospitable owners have extensive knowledge of the island and will provide helpful advice and information whenever needed.
In the adjacent Maravel Hotel, a buffet breakfast is available at an extra cost (7 euros per person). Guests can also use the tennis court and table tennis free of charge.

Loved our stay at Villa Mera, everything we needed was here. We were welcomed by the gorgeous Yolanda, who had left beers, water and wine in the fridge for us as well as tea and coffee. The villa is a good size and very homey. There’s aircon in every room. The garden is very private and beautiful with all the planting and the pool is lovely. The views from the balcony are very special. Yolanda gave us lots of recommendations for how to get around, we had taxi numbers, she organised a discount for parasailing and she checked on us throughout the week too. Everyone in this area is really nice and friendly. The shingle beach is 10 mins walk, and if you don’t have a car it was 15 taxi into Rethymno town. Lots of shops and restaurants here also.

Great villa with lovely garden a pool. Easy walk to variety of restaurants, and beach. Yolanda was great and any small issues were sorted straight away.

Great house in a great location. Very private but still only a very short walk to the beach, shops and restaurants. Wonderful pool area. Well equipped kitchen. The house is a little worn and the bathrooms slightly muggy, but that didn’t really bother us. The beds being too hard was the only thing that was a little bit of an issue.All in all though, we had a fantastic stay and were well taken care of by the lovely host Yolanda who was always ready to help and suggest trips, restaurants etc. I can definitely recommend this house.

Villa is a lovely stone built building with a good layout
Location good
Iro looked after us extremely well. She gave us lots of tips and ideas of things to do on the island and was very quick to respond to us when we needed her
We were disjointed as the whole Villa needs some attention as everything is old, tatty & very unloved
Things kept breaking or were already broken or missing (light bulbs, curtain poles, drawer front, bed knobs, kitchen sink plug, kettle, dishwasher, plumbing in the bathroom etc etc)
Some of the smaller items we needed were not provided at first, although they were when we asked for them like tea towels, wash cloths, plug for kitchen sink etc
Cleaner didn’t come at all and our bedding & towels were not replaced after 4 days as promised on the website
The bathrooms in particular need to be replaced.
The hotel next door plays a lot of loud music which we didn’t mind too much but some people would
