About this villa rental
LOCATION
We are just far enough away from the crowds, located over the border into the quieter Herzegovina region of BOSNIA. (New faster border channels were completed in December 2019).
Villa Stone is just a 7 minute drive from the beautiful beaches of Srebreno and Milini and the fabulous jewel of the Adriatic, the city of Dubrovnik. The historic city dates back to the 7th Century with its prominent surrounding walls being a highlight for visitors. The walls have been a popular filming location for the fictional city of “King’s Landing” in the television series, “Game of Thrones”.
Our local, 13th century, walled town of Trebinje is a historic delight to explore. The piazzas and cafe bars nestled under the great “Platani” trees are a great place to people watch and enjoy a coffee or ice cream.
There is a newly opened Water Park and in the evening “Vukoje” winery, with a rooftop terrace and restaurant offers diners great views over the town and river Trebisnjica. The town has something for everyone.
Further afield in Bosnia, Mostar and Kravice waterfalls are a fun day out or why not travel further afield to the Fjords of Kotor in Montenegro.

Due to our location and no public transport, car rental is essential.
THE SPACE
The private villa is part of a small family resort and proudly commands magical views over the mountains and the valley to the Adriatic Sea. Villa Stone provides a quiet and comfortable ambience for those who seek some quality time with friends and family.
Beautiful mountain and sea views are best enjoyed from the impressive pool (7m x 3.5m) and extensive terraces with an area to BBQ, dine Alfresco or to relax on the sun loungers and outdoor sofas. Pool heating is included in the cooler months but in July and August it can be offered at £15 per day. Please note the pool will not be filled from end of November until beginning of April, as it is not possible to heat in the winter months unless requested.
The interior of Villa Stone is spacious, comfortable with A/C or heating, contemporary in design with each room offering mountain and sea views.
A modern open plan space offers a fully fitted kitchen, breakfast bar dining facilities, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, filter coffee machine and an all important ice-machine. There is dining table to work or eat from and crockery provided for you to cook anything from a BBQ to a dinner party! The lounge area has comfortable sofas, Wi-Fi and satellite TV. Separate laundry facilities are shared with the neighboring villa.
Both Master bedrooms at Villa Stone have King-size beds, built- in wardrobes and are en suite. The modern en suites have walk in showers and his and her sinks. Twin rooms have the possibility of additional beds being added, fitted wardrobes and have adjacent bathrooms. One of the Master bedrooms and a Twin room share a balcony with an occasional table and chairs for you to enjoy the view and the peace and quiet.
All this with our unique, stunning panoramic views makes for comfortable living.
GUEST ACCESS
The manager will be there to meet and greet you. However, for the late arrivals, a key safe is available, with code and contact numbers given after booking.
We have also designed a brochure that is updated annually, tantalizing you with ideas of places to visit, complete with maps and directions! Places that are a bit off the beaten track and that the regular tourist won’t know about. We have ideas and tips for excursions, beaches and restaurants and sporting activities that have been recommended by the owner or previous guests. Ideal pool-side reading!
The owner will not be on the premises whilst guests are staying but there will be a property manager to meet and greet you and answer any enquiries.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
All linen is included.
Bedding and towels changed on request or after a 1 week stay.
Bathroom and pool towels are provided but NOT beach towels.
Price includes service/cleaning charge. Plus we offer a complimentary 2 hour mini housekeeping service once per week, servicing the kitchen, lounge and bathrooms.
On request we can provide a full single pull out bed, large baby travel cot, high chair and baby car seat.
We can also offer a babysitting service, if staff is available. There is a small additional cost charged.

We do not have any public transport and so are not suitable for non drivers.

From my experience, villas don’t often match up to the glossy photos online – but Stone Villa really did. What you see in the pictures is exactly what you get. The place was spot on, and the views were amazing.Communication was brilliant, both before we arrived and while we were there. We had a problem with the pool heating on the first day (a Sunday), and it was sorted the very next morning.The welcome pack with wine was a lovely touch, and the fact it included vegan bits was really thoughtful – thank you!We’d been a bit worried about the border crossings, but honestly, it was fine. We crossed into Croatia a many times and popped over to Montenegro as well, and only once did we wait longer than a few minutes – about 15 minutes at their version of rush hour. It meant we got to explore three countries and even collect a few passport stamps along the way.The villa itself was fantastic, the location couldn’t have been better, and the hosts were just great. Would definitely recommend – thanks again for helping make our extened family holiday such a memorable one

We loved our stay at villa stone, the view was amazing. The villa was comfortable and very well equipped. The property manager was very helpful. Crossing the border was not an issue. The pool being heated was very useful in October and we all loved gazing at the stars and town lights from the hot tub. It was a lovely family holiday just what we needed. Thank you.
