Erg mooi volledig houten huis, door de eigenaar zelf gemaakt. Niet supermodern qua interieur, maar zeker voldoende luxe en comfort, in een stijl die past bij het huis. Voldoende verlichting aanwezig en comfortabele bedden. Het huis ziet er schoon en goed onderhouden uit en had voldoende inventaris. Doordat het huis van hout is, zijn er binnen niet grote temperatuurschommelingen. Wenteltrap naar boven kan voor ouderen lastig zijn, maar beneden is ook een mooie 2-persoons slaapkamer. Wat er niet is zijn Nederlandse tv-zenders en dat is wel wat apart gezien het feit dat het zenderaanbod een behoorlijk deel van het westelijk halfrond bestrijkt. Internet is niet snel en je moet even de juiste plek(ken) in het huis of erbuiten opzoeken voor goede ontvangst. Voor de wat grotere steden moet je best een eindje rijden en door slingerwegen en relatief weinig autobaan ben je dan wel even onderweg. Je kunt niet altijd en overal met pin betalen, althans soms niet in kleinere plaatsen of in sommige restaurants. In het algemeen zijn de steden wat minder modern dan in West Duitsland en je ziet wat meer verval. De huiseigenaar en vrouw zijn erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam, een heel goed stel.

Sehr schönes Holzhaus mitten im Ort, alles sauber, Ausstattung ausreichend, leider keine Möglichkeit der Kleideraufbewahrung für die Gäste, die in der offenen Schlafniesche nächtigen, Bäcker und Metzger nur wenige Gehminuten entfernt,

We werden netjes ontvangen, en de accommodatie zag er keurig verzorgt uit. De omgeving was mooi. Heerlijk rustig in het dorp, en op loopafstand van het bos. Op een kwartiertje loopafstand is een plek waar je een vuurtje kan/mag stoken. Om iets te doen of te kunnen doen, moet je wel even de auto in. Alles lig wel wat verder weg.
