Our stay at Jungle Door Ubud was tranquil and comfortable. The view from the villa was of the jungle and at night you could hear the running water from the stream at the bottom of the valley. We stayed 4 nights, but wish we could've stayed for longer. The beds were very very comfortable and there was air-conditioning in all areas. The pool was about 1.2m deep for the entire length which was great for our kids. The villa staff were very friendly and accommodating. Ratna the house keeper was very responsive on WhatsApp and organised massages for us (200k for 1 hour) and they had a driver at the villa (70k to Ubud town or 600k for a day trip to Kintamani via a coffee plantation and the rice fields swings). A must visit is Taman Dedari restaurant just before sunset, the Tom Yum was very tasty. The villa is down a short laneway, so you're tucked away from the traffic noise. There were stalls with beautiful fresh fruit and veg and an IndoMart less than 10 mins walk, and two very clean and affordable cafes very very close by (Unity Cafe and Den-O). Both restaurants had meals from 70k including smoothie bowls, pancakes and traditional nasi goreng, and the iced coffees with caramel were our favourites. We would strongly recommend staying in this villa.
The only downside was the two bedrooms were separated by the living area, which was fine but we were staying with younger children so we locked their bedroom door at night time. The floors were polished concrete so they we're slippery. We asked for extra bath mats to dry off our feet before walking around.
