Lovely grounds with nice walks nearby. Sanne was a fantastic host – her homemade plum jam, tart, and fresh eggs were all delicious and a nice surprise.
The kitchen was basic—not ideal for cooking full meals but fine for a weekend stay.
The pillows were large and quite firm; a softer, flatter option would have been appreciated.

Beautiful, peaceful venue with stunning views.
The Lodge itself was clean and comfortable, with good facilities. Sanne was a wonderful host who provided some thoughtful extra touches.

Sanne is a wonderful host; very welcoming and thanks for all the lovely treats.
Stunning location with beautiful gardens and lake.
We spent a lovely evening sat by the lake watching the wild life including deer and a buzzard.
Recommendations for pubs and places to visit spot on.
Very comfy bed and the lodge was very well appointed and equipped.
Excellent shower as well.
We felt very much at home there.
Absolutely nothing we would love to stay here again and certainly would if we were in the area again.

The property was lovely, very quiet and felt very private despite proximity to the owner’s house. The chickens were very good neighbours too! There was a great sense of independence while the owner was just a message away for any help. She was lovely and offered us homemade jam and sourdough, blueberry muffins, and very kindly left us some chocolates, strawberries and a small bottle of rose on arrival as we were a couple staying just after Valentine’s Day! She greeted us when we arrived and was very friendly, showed us round and the instructions for getting in and out were very clear. She also saw us off when we left and kindly told us to be safe as we were travelling by motorbike. I have to confess I was already trying to convince my partner to come back for another holiday 2 days into our stay!
We knew about it beforehand so it didn’t bother us at all, but future guests might be surprised by the lack of an oven so I will note that here!
