The apartment itself is very nice, clean, well equipped and modern. The beds are comfortable and it was nice to have the use of the kitchen and a fridge during our stay.
Unfortunately, the information received from the owners/staff were not very helpful. All the way before our visit, we kept receiving various emails, however none of them provided information about the way to find the apartment and then where to park. All messages and emails were received in German, which would be ok, however, while receiving them, then trying to translate them and then finding that the staff did not answer the question asked in the first place was very frustrating, especially when you are already driving into an unknown area. The flat is situated in a big block of buildings right opposite the train station, however you can not stop the car to find the entrance as this is a main road with busy traffic. It is also not possible to easily recognize where the entrance is. From he main road there are many doors and the name of the apartments are amongst many lists of organizations, most of them are related to medical clinics, so would not expect to see name of the apartments to feature on those. We had to stop in a street way back from the main road, then proceeded on foot to locate the entrance from the front. We could not find it. We telephoned the number provided, however there was no answer at first. Later the phone was answered by a gentleman who said he was just helping the owner and he himself was not sure how to direct us to the apartment. After many calls back and forth, he then gave us the name of the road behind the building and told us to park there and then to call again. When we did so, the information provided was confusing and unclear as to where the, now night entrance to the apartment was. We were told to "go through the trees...." We travelled a long way that day, it was getting dark and we were tired, it was frustrating, exhausting to try to figure it out, mostly ourselves.

good location
there were adults requiring 3 separate beds. one had to use a small fold down bed which appeared to be broken and had to be propped up. bedding not made available for 3. There was no microwave as listed. nothing for drying dishes apart from one very dirty cloth. coffee machine occupied the whole tiny work surface. no dish drainer. no welcome pack or instruction books for shower or coffee machine. we saw no one from the company during or stay. shower dangerous. needs slip proof mat
a Main concern however - the front door to the building and the entrance door to the flats were unlocked all the time although it said security guaranteed after 8 pm? we had a very early departure time which was notified to the company and the door to the street was locked on this one occasion and exit was impossible. fortunately we were able to exit using the back door. this could be calamitous in the event of a fire. was this overall lack of attention to detail because Documenta was about to end and the holiday season virtually over?
