Great location for local amenities and access to local attractions. As described, great value for money, comfortable, car parking, lovely pool, scenery, watching paraglides from the balcony. We loved it!!

Location close to the centre of Samoëns. Plenty of parking.
Extra cost for dog needed to be settled upon arrival (as we were going to do the final cleaning ourselves, we do not understand the extra charge for a dog).
Fridge was not switched on upon arrival and it took a while before it was cold, e.g. because the door does not close properly. For a 5-night stay in an apartment suitable for 4/6 pers: no full toilet roll, no spare one - Senseo coffee machine available but no more than 3 coffee pads supplied.
Outdoor pool & jacuzzi (seasonal facilities advertised to be open until 14/09) were closed on arrival (11/09) despite hot weather!?
On 2nd day, after coming back from daytrip, we discovered that there was a power cut. Called the hotel (automatic reply so left a text message). By the time the electrician had arrived we located the main circuit breaker for the apartment in the basement of the building and had switched it back on ourselves. Dishwasher was blamed and replacement was offered. As the fridge had warmed up due to power cut, part of the food had to be thrown away!!
Good location but badly managed / impersonal service (although owner turned out to reside in the same building). Kitchen appliances are dated: extractor hood very noisy, fridge door does not close properly and light within the fridge did not operate (latter was communicated but no action taken). Instructions on how to use the microwave would be helpful (so we only used the basic possibilities). We opted to do the final cleaning ourselves. A detailed list with instructions refers to a vacuum cleaner but there was none present, neither were cleaning products so we bought some ourselves.
As this was out of the main season and seasonal facilities were already closed and we were the only guests, rates could have been lower.
