What we loved about the property:
It’s in Vernazza! It’s hard to find a reasonable 2 bedroom apartment WITH washing machine that’s NEAR the train station, but this is it! While the balcony doesn’t have the sea view, it was a nice hangout to enjoy the fresh cool breeze!
There’s a small food to-go place called Pippo, just below the apartment. Very convenient when you don’t want to cook, or have a long sit down restaurant meal.
Vernazza is a quaint town, so it’s an easy, straight walk to the cove.
Vernazza stairs! While it’s smooth luggage rolling with there’s no stairs from the bottom of the train station to the apartment building, the 2bedroom apartment is on the 2nd floor(European 1st floor). So you’ll need to climb a flight of stairs to reach a locked gate, then another flight to the apartment. While dragging our carry on luggage up the stairs was not ideal (the host offered to help), the reality is that other apartments in Vernazza had some sort of stairs that were either cobbled or narrow, so Casa di Mario was probably the easiest of them all, so no points taken of for the stairs!
