Our stay at Cratus Stone Palace in Goreme was truly unforgettable — easily one of the highlights of our entire trip.
From the moment we arrived, the team went above and beyond to take care of us. They arranged our airport transfer seamlessly, and check in was smooth.
One of the absolute highlights was our guide, Firat, who took us on a two-day excursion through Cappadocia. It was nothing short of phenomenal. His knowledge, energy, and passion made the experience so special, and we got to see and learn far more than we ever expected.
The accommodations themselves were beautiful, comfortable, and full of charm — exactly what you hope for. Our breakfasts were phenomenal, with the most beautiful view. They even went out of their way to fill the hot tub just for us, which was such a special touch after long days of exploring.
What truly sets this place apart, though, is the level of care. When my suitcase broke, they didn’t hesitate to step in and fix it for me — something they absolutely didn’t have to do, but did anyway without question.
This kind of service is rare. It felt personal, warm, and genuine the entire time.
We can’t recommend Cratus Stone Palace enough. If you’re coming to Cappadocia, this is where you want to stay.

Big cozy rooms, equipped with all the needed amenities (including mini bar, slippers, bathrobes, toiletries, daily complimentary water etc).
The entire hotel very clean and beautifully decorated. Excellent heating system (also AC available).
Lovely rooftop and top floor restaurant (3rd floor) with nice views (10% discount offered for hotel guests).
All the staff (reception, housekeeping, restaurant) very welcoming, helpful and polite.
Delicious breakfast.
Great location (walking distance from downtown).
Pretty large free public parking lot in front of the property and another one in the back.

Tip: if you are a light sleeper, you should maybe consider booking a room facing the back of the hotel, since the other side of the unit faces the road.
Our Deluxe Stone Room with Balcony (1st floor) faced the road, however we were not bothered at all by the street sound (which is however completely dimmed if ear plugs are used).

Excellent location. Goreme is only a small town though so it is easy to get around. Good terrace. Quick check in and the room was big. The bed was comfortable and the shower worked well although some water did leak out.
Struggled to close the bathroom door, it really needed to be firmly pushed shut. Only air con for heating which took a while to heat the large room up in the cold weather. The room is directly underneath the restaurant so at the end of the night or for early morning you hear alot of chairs scrapping against the floor

High points for the location and general architecture of the hotel. Beds were comfortable and proprty accommodated our request of baby crib as well. General behavioe of staff was positive and welcoming.
Worst part was Air Conditioning system in room. The AC was non-responsive and despite being turned on we could not see a single digit change in climate drop. Unfortunately my kids and family had to spend all night sweating and lack of sleep.
lighting in the room was insufficient, i believe they should add more lighting and allow guests to lower them if required.
Breakfast was really sub par as a single option served you in person as a platter, considering the amount being charged they should be providing a better and vast option for guests. Overall, I would say location and room size were good but rest made the stay very unpleasant.
