Princes Street Apartment

The apartment was quiet and had a lovely balcony where we sat for breakfast. Friendly helpful neighbour. Easy 10 minute walk from the station and again an easy walk into the town which had places of interest and shops. People were all friendly. Quick taxi service to Scone when requested.

There was no gas, so no hot water. Once we let the host know she did immediately follow up with the gas company. Unfortunately she left us to deal with the company (on my mobile for almost an hour which meant having to call on her neighbour to help identify details. My husband who is 80years and myself moving between gas meter outside, fuse box set up high so looking for ladder, and hot water boiler upstairs to find off and reset switch non of which were labelled. This all before trying to get a shower, attend a wedding and a further hour already spent back and forth with host, her dad, neighbour and gas company. Unable to use the TV as couldn’t find any live channels.

Very convenient location in the city centre. The flat was comfortable- nice comfy bed- very clean and had everything I needed for my stay. The balcony overlooking the graveyard was a nice bonus.

Living room was quite noisy from the street below (but the bedroom was quiet). It was the first place I’ve ever stayed where guests are expected to strip the bed on departure- I really think that’s taking things too far. I don’t want to do that on holiday in paid-for accommodation.

Shower far too small, TV didn't work although owner did try, the area was pretty run down and noisy at night. The entrance stairs were very industrial and not welcoming.
