We used the BoardingWorld Heidelberg Hotel as a stop-over on our route from the Netherlands to Garmisch. We were travelling by car with top-box. BoardingWorld has several parking option, including a suitable one for higher vehicles. The beds were comfortable, there was a sink, microwave and electric stove in the apartment. Baby cot is available with a surcharge (20 euro?, not sure). Parking was 15 euro. It is around 2 km away fropm the Altstadt.
Tip: If you come during the weekend, there is no need to book a parking as there is ample space to park on the street for free.
This is not purpose build buidling for a hotel so there might be some noise pollution between the apartments. We had a 3 month and 4.5 year old with us. Because of that we woke up quite early and the 4.5 year was running around the room. As the ceiling are quite thin and there is no carpet, we had a knock on our door from the guest downstairs that we are extremly noisy... Fair enough, but let's wait when he has to kids himself ;-) and try to calm them down.

Okay location. Organized room. Working TV.
The corners/floors of the room are quite dusty. The design of the wardrobe/Kitchenette is not practical because you have to close one when open the other. The checking is more complicated than usual because there are different buildings of the hotel.

The bed for us it was very hard and for the 3rd person it was just a cot that it holds into 3 parts which is very uncomfortable, coffee machine didn’t work, fridge doesn’t cool well
