About this house rental

A short distance from birdwatching, wildlife walks, and more, this family-friendly vacation home lets you experience it all. With the property's convenient onsite parking, you'll be ready to make the quick 5-minute drive to Cabourg Beach or the 6-minute drive to Merville Gun Battery.

Spend a day at the nearby beach, relax by the heated pool, or sip a drink in the garden of this 1615-sq-ft vacation home, which also features a deck or patio. As for the great indoors, you can come inside and enjoy the free WiFi, TV, and DVD player.

As you settle into this 4-bedroom rental, you'll find a dining area, a sofa bed,and a BBQ grill. Bathroom amenities include a hair dryer, towels, and toilet paper. Prepare a home-cooked meal in the kitchen, complete with an oven, a stovetop, and a refrigerator, as well as a coffee maker, an electric kettle, and a microwave. And because there's access to laundry facilities, you can go a bit lighter on your packing.

We spent a superb week in this fantastic house. The pictures on Vrbo do not do it justice. The pool is a good size and sits in a well maintained and spacious garden. The pool was both spotless and always warm and the owner’s brother came in and cleaned the pool a number of times during our stay. The bedrooms are all light and comfortable and there is so much living space in the open plan downstairs area and a large conservatory between the house and pool. I’ve never stayed in such a well equipped rental and everything was high spec and of the highest quality. It’s a very quiet neighbourhood and was perfect for our lazy relaxing holiday. The local boulangerie is an 8 minute walk away and has a great selection of breads and cakes and she was super friendly whenever we went in (which was everyday). There are plenty of good walks to be had and lots of cycle paths if you want to go to the nearest town. Perfectly placed for visiting Caen and all the D-Day beaches too and we drove through some picturesque towns and villages that we didn’t have time to explore. The owner and his brother couldn’t have been more welcoming, friendly and helpful and their English put my rusty French to shame.

Beautiful house and a nice heated pool. Everything is available in the house and may be used. It is quietly located. We liked that. All the space in the garden. The reception is fine on arrival and English is spoken. Very friendly people also the owner of the house. The area is beautiful and there is plenty to do. The beach is 10 minutes away by car. The only point of improvement we have are the beds. These are 1.40 cm. We are not used to that in the Netherlands. We had a nice holiday with great memories. It is highly recommended.

Lovely house with all mod cons. House is in a very quiet neighbourhood which is close to a gorgeous seaside town called Merville-Franceville-Plage, which has lovely restaurants and a great sandy beach with lifeguards. The house is ideally located for exploring D-day memorials. The Pegasus bridge is two minutes away and the D Day beaches are all within an hours drive, as is Caen Memorial Musuem. The pool is kept at 29 degrees and there are noodles and inflatables for babies. The kitchen has everything you might need including a coffee machine and a kettle (a rarity in France) for morning cups of tea! The family is very welcoming and Jean Marc's niece spoke incredible English.
