About this house rental
3 bedroom, 2 bathroom Gite, set in the beautiful Normandy countryside close to Mont Saint Michel. Property is set in 3 acres of mature gardens, with ample outdoor seating/dining areas. Plenty of off road parking.
Swimming pool (please bring beach towels to use at the pool or beach), 3/4 acre fishing lake and smaller feeder pond, ideal for teaching children to fish. Plenty of garden games, Games room with table tennis, pool table, darts and Xbox console. Fire pit & use of BBQ.
This property offers great flexibility to your party as all bedrooms have either a superking size bed or twin single beds and can be made up as per your request. Travel cot, high chairs and stair gates.
Large comfortable lounge with dining table, smart TV with Netflix, Amazon Prime, 150 OCH channels and free WIFI.
Laundry room with washing machine and tumble drier.
Kitchen with breakfast bar, dishwasher, oven & hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, crockery and cookware.
All linen and towels provided.
Cooked meals available upon request.
Located only 8km from the market towns of Pontorson and Saint-James, where you will find various shops, restaurants and super markets.
There is a path & cycle track from Pontorson that takes you directly to the world famous tidal island of Mont-Saint-Michel, along Le Couesnon river, or if you are not feeling that energetic, there is ample parking if you are visiting via car.
We are just 27km to the nearest beach, with many more along the coast to explore.

Melanie and Steve have a lovely property. It was everything we expected and more. They both went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed and the welcome pack was very much appreciated!!! Ruby especially enjoyed the pool and of course the ducks were also a favourite- especially Poppy!! Thank you for keeping her name. She nearly came home with us. Thank you both for a lovely stay and best wishes for the future.

Friendly owners- very helpful. We knew that there would be shared facilities but didn’t anticipate that the properties would all be attached and shared areas so close. It wasn’t a problem for us as a bigger group but I felt permanently conscious of the smaller family being potentially irritated by our teenagers who wanted to use the pool and swing seat and fishing area pretty much continuously. They were polite and didn’t intentionally block the space but I imagine might have felt intimidating. The games room was very close to the smaller property so had the potential to easily disturb them.
That was the only drawback. The property was stunning, lots to do with st malo, beaches and mont st michel nearby. Chickens and ducks were friendly.. a chilled out space, perfect for relaxing. Third bedroom in attic so can get very hot but owners provide a fan. Lots of options for space indoors and ourdoors to eat or rest.

This holiday let has had to be the best we've ever stayed when in comes to the grounds.... the pictures and description really do not allow the reader to see how beautiful the gardens and lakes are, especially if you have the sunny weather, so many areas to sit at and relax and listen to the bird song or watch the gardens nature (ducks and Coypu were funny and fascinating to watch). The games room was amazing as was the (non heated) pool although we only used it a couple of times. The gite really had it all and to have both a washing and a tumble dryer/washing line was so useful. The grounds are shared with a smaller studio to accommodate 3 but whilst we were there there was no one in the studio so had everything to ourselves which was a plus. Supermarkets and restaurants are about a 10 minute drive away and the nearest beach is about 25 minutes drive where they do Sand Sailing. Melanie was on hand if needed who lives onsite but was never intrusive. Thank you for such an enjoyable week.
