VISIONAPARTMENTS Basel - self check-in

Location close to Station was perfect for us. Kitchen area was equipped with basic necessary pot, pan, crockery and cutlery.

Most apartments provide basic welcome packs, teabags, milk, olive oil, salt pepper, there was absolutely nothing provided here. There is a noisy air-conditioning system which cannot be switched off, or if it can we could not figure it out, no instruction manual provided. There is a small dish washer but again no tablets provided, so do bring your own.

It has a great location, with a lot of connections to use the tram system

The room was a little to hot when I have arrived, i had to turn of the heating in the bathroom

It was clean and very nice

We had a room with terrace but the view from it wasn’t anything special!

The room had everything we needed and was in a good location. The contactless online check in process was fairly easy, we made sure to do this prior to arrival and we received the emails with the entry codes well ahead of time. The storage lockers were easy to use and convenient.

The decor was very strange, one wall was painted as though it had urine dripping down it. The fire alarm went off on the first night of our stay, we anxiously called staff who were unhelpful and not reassuring at all. This had us on edge for our entire stay, we really struggled to sleep. The room wasn’t very clean and the bed was quite uncomfortable. The check in emails didn’t make much sense and it felt like a bit of an escape room trying to figure out what room we were in as the email said ‘unit B612’, which ended up meaning floor 6 room 12 after trial and error.
